I've been saying this since the album dropped. I Miss the Days is the best overall song on the album. It might not be the most lyrically complex, but it's the most cohesive package of a song on the album. The production choices were A+ the whole way through. From the choir, to the jilted beat to the subject matter, to the execution of the lyrics. Everything fit so perfectly. It's the one song I can listen to and close my eyes and see him performing on a Grammy stage with.

The thing that is so impressive about Nate, and it's the number one thing I think most people, especially the mainstream industry, is when you know his backstory, his history of pain and trauma as a kid and the resulting mental issues he sustained from it, that he is able to put out such fire music as this. I know from personal experience from my childhood trauma coupled with my time in the military, that my mental issues have become crippling, especially in a social setting. I really hate/fear being around people. The anxiety, the mental critic that starts speaking to me that overrides all common sense and takes over, it cripples me. There is no way on God's green earth I would be able to do what Nate does. To make the incredible music he makes, putting it out there for the world to either love on or hate on, and to be able to stand in front of thousands of people and perform this awe inspiring music. I could never do it, and I dont think anyone else with his level of mental and emotional issues could either. I think that kinda gets overlooked by alot of people sometimes, except for you Ernest. You have touched on more than once, which is why I subbed to you in the first place awhile ago. Your breakdowns are amazing and on point. Great job bro

I think the line about love being so invasive also has to do with the fact that he got married in December and now he can’t just live life the way he wants to but he now has to think about his marriage and loving his wife which takes a lot of selflessness and humility learning how to love another person on that level. It’s not just about his feelings and struggles it’s now also about his wife’s wellbeing.

Probably one of the most relatable songs out of his catalog for me. Which is hard to say cuz so much of others are relatable
