I've just discovered him a few days ago listening to other Christian rapper's on Pandora. He came on while I was at work listening to music, and I thought it was Eminem for a bit. I thought, "that can't be Eminem on a Christian chanel." Lol, needless to say, I fell in love with this dude's music right away. I've been physically and mentally abused. Both my parents divorced when I was 3 or 4. I grew up with anger issues as well. I found my outlet through drawing, and writing music. I feel your pain NF. I'm a new fan. Just bought his album yesterday. I can't get enough of it. God bless you bother. your not alone.
I lost my mother as well. Methodone. I relate so much to NF and am thankfull for his music and strength. And may God continue to bless the path that he is walking.
Dammit he made me cry, i love him so much he's not just an amazing person but also very real I've been physically and mentally abused and my mom left us when i needed her the most i was only a teen and had a younger sister which means more responsibilities than I can handle. And i'm not even gonna start with my anger issues, but yeah that's life for some or most of us and we need to "try" to be as strong as we can, to live!
A lot of people have been! I think that's one of the reasons he raps about it. To let people from broken homes know they aren't alone. Sometimes music is the only thing that makes it into there homes to comfort them. Music is good like that. The world can be way way bad. So can music too. But I don't worry about that. I've got Jesus on my side. That doesn't mean I don't experience any trouble or pain. But I know I can be forgiven and move on. I become a better person daily! Because if him. And you can too. Three years ago, he used to feel like his mom never cared about her children but her drug. Until he made the Search, he come to understand, sympathize and accept his mom. It's increíble about how he has grown.
Wow.. I first heard of NF around Therapy Session I think, but that he was THIS honest in 2015 is beyond me. People barely knew him and now he has such a big audience. He really deserves it.

I literally just heard Let You Down last Friday and I’ve been obsessed trying to find more of his music 😳 seriously this music speaks to me. I’ve never been through anything like what he’s been through and many of his fans but his lyrics still SPEAK to me and make me feel. That’s the most I could ever ask from an artist.. just make me feel. Make me a part of your story. My heart breaks for him and it’s not just the empathy I have for him but it’s that he’s sharing his pain with us. And I’m taking it and bringing it into my soul like it belongs to me in the first place. So much love. Can’t wait to see this guy in Springfield MO on my birthday! 😁
*tears*i have been abused mentally physically and emotinally. I suffer from MTSD (Mild traumatic Stress Disorder) I Survived 3 All 3 suicide attempts as well having anger issues. I think now like THERE IS A REASON why i beat the 3 suicides. I believe that i'm here to this day to help people who are going through the same or semilier struggles. Not much of a believer but Amen
Thank you for sharing the problems in your life brother! I was addicted to Heroin for 8 years and went to bed so many times knowing that I was not going to wake up. Somehow I woke up every morning but I just kept doing it until I lost everything I owned House car all that. Finally i went to this program called Uturn for Christ and I gave my life to God. While I was in there my wife died of an overdose in a government rehab. I thought I was going to go insane over the next three days she was the only one who ever understood me and the only one I ever loved until that point. After the third day i gave my life to God. Best thing i ever did I am engaged to a girl right now im about to get a house again and i am not addicted to anything!! God bless you brother! I love everything about him. My mom is not addicted to drugs but she's addicted to my brothers who have done the impossible to her. Who have done nothing but hurt this family. She chooses them before her grandkids she expects everyone to go see her after what her sons have done. You can say drugs destroy families drugs have destroyed my brothers and it has caused them to destroy my mother! I don't hate my brothers or my mother. I just hate the way my mom doesn't love me and is there for me when I have needed her the most when my kids were born and when I needed my mom through hard times. She has caused depression in my life I missed precious years of my kids life because my family has made me so depressed and when I think of it that way I do feel hate but I don't let it feed me. I'm too strong to let them in any longer.
I'm sorry to hear of your misfortunes. I have gone through troubled times as well brought on by my own desire to "feel good". I became addicted to opiates and lost everything including my wife to an overdose. I would have killed myself I had nothing to live for. I started crying out to God for help and I met some dudes who told me about Jesus and how He died on a cross to save me and if I acknowledged my sins and let Jesus into my heart , I could be saved. So I did. And my life has been changed. He took all my old pain and helped me get over it. I've been off drugs clean 4 years now. And im married again for 2 years. You to can have this. Jesus doesn't make life a cake walk but He does make it better. And each and every one of us is the favorite one!
Think about David at a young age he killed a giant. Most would think after that everything would be easy. But no he was called to be a king before his time and ran from the then king. Then became king and later in life had to run from his own kids who wanted to over throw him and take over he kingdom. Abraham went 100 years before having a single son with his wife Sarah. A 100 years of people saying your name means father of many/multitudes how many children do you have to how many grandchildren do you have. Abram meaning “father of many” whom later God changed his name to Abraham as we know him as meaning “father of multitudes.”

NF, from a mother who also was addicted. She had no choice and if she did she might have thought you were better off without her. I feel your pain and I’m sorry that happened to you. I suspect your mom loved you more than you know. What do I really know? ❤️
I remeber living in poverty I'm 17 my dad is in prison till I'm at least in my late 30's, my mom was an addict and I've been in and out of foster care 3 times my baby brother passed away when I was 8 and I watched him die right in front of me, I've lived without hot water like showers and I had to go to the park just to go to the bathroom we lived in our house when they shut off the electricity everything I had was lost in storage and so much more has happened I now live with my gma have since I was 14 my 2 other siblings live with their aunt and my mom is in a Christian rehab and has been sober 5 months she now has a job and she is doing well, I am praying to be able to see my mom and my siblings I haven't seen them in 4 years, my mom is a very good person and has a kind heart she is the most caring person I know drugs just got a grip of her I practically raised my siblings since I was 10 to 14 my brother is now 7 turning 8 and my bby sis is 5 I just pray for us to break my families cycle my mom was abused by her ex my 2 siblings that are alive dad he would always be drunk and beat her we moved from drug house to drug house etc I've been in some very bad situations and had to grow up fast.The world just needs a little more love
KELLS IS THE BEST Hey thank you for sharing what youve been through! I can't relate to growing up like you did or like NF. But i was a drug addict for 8 yrs of my life and I lost everything to it. I went to a Christian rehab called Uturn for Christ and ive been clean now for 3 yrs. While i was in there my wife died of an overdose in a government funded rehab when i was 24 she was 22. I just wanted to let you know I care that your mom is clean and getting her life back together. Ill be praying for your family! I dont know if you believe in Jesus or not but I do and I believe in the power of prayer! God be with you and your family!

Hey man you don't have to be a Christian to enjoy good music. I would like to share a book I found very interesting assuming your open to all things as an agnostic. I was an atheist once and so was the author of this book. Mere Christianity by C.S.Lewis. I know atheist isn't the same thing but I think his ideas are still really cool. You can find audio versions on RU-vid for free.
God has a plan to prosper us. All things good/bad will be used for the GOOD of those who love the Lord (and are obedient to his calling). Don't fight it. Submit to it and allow God to rise you up! He is a great example of this! ♡
People in the comments keep saying - stay strong for the Lord or just stuff about God or whatever . And I think he should stay strong for himself and for the people around him . It's not God who gave him the gift of music or whatever , he worked for this very hard . He worked so he can express his emotions in a beautiful way and not sit on a couch talking to some psychiatrist who's trying to tell him what's wrong .if you ask me God has nothing to with any of this , nobody helped this guy when he was struggling including God . Because if he were to help him he wouldn't be here right now . I am an Atheist but i absolutely love this guy's music and I don't judge people based on their beliefs or religion .
Thank you for your comment! NF is a proclaimed Christian. I think that's why people encourage him in that way. I believe he worked very hard too. Most people who say they are Christian just believe in God. Christian really means Imitater of Jesus. I will tell you a lot if people who believe in God aren't "Christian". They have done and will continue to do bad things. I don't blame you for choosing to be an atheist. I would encourage you to find one true Christian and go through the Bible with him or her. Just to study. believing is always our own choice. I think you will find a lot of your ideas match up with how Jesus thought. Thank you for supporting NF.
I grew up without a Dad my Mom & Dad got Divorce before I was born & my Mom had 3 kids too me & my oldest brother an my youngest brother I'm the middle but I'm thankful that my Mom took care of me to teach me to be a person that I've become I grew up with Depression my life so pretty much it was just my Mom that raised me my Mom had a couple Boyfriend tho so I'm doing fine now so an I'm also going threw the struggle so I'm 21 years old & I'm trying to do it by myself!

What is a person before the view of whole world, but a speck of dust. Now what is a person before the Holy God who created the world? You are nothing, yet God found you worthy to die for. Without believing Jesus is God means you know not God. Sin brings death. the wages of sin are death the Word says. The only thing to fix our seperation from God through sin is the blood of a sacrifice, and that sacrifice has to be perfect or the payment isn't permanent. since we are all born in sin, no one meets that standard. Cleary since the only one to meet Gods standard is God, God goes Himself as Jesus. God became a man, Jesus Christ, and lived the sinless life we couldnt. He willingly took all the wrath of God that was met to be poured on us for all the evil that we are, and He bore it. He took the full force of Gods punishment, becoming our sin and dying with it. Because a perfect sacrifice was the only way to pay a dept for a people as sinful as we are. Someone had to die, so he did it Himself. Cause He wanted us back for Himself. He became payment for a people who could not redeem themselves. Then He rose again, defeating death and the grave. That meant the redemption was guaranteed, For all who believe. We serve a living God who payed our dept. All you have to do to be declared innocent is Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. That His death was enough to pay the penalty for your sins and live a life style of repentance. Which means to change ones mind. To turn away from sin, God makes you a new man in Christ, He is the one who regenerates your person to make you a New Creature. With a new heart and new mind who hates to do sin, and to displease God. When we do sin, which we all do, we will repent and ask God for His mercy and Grace to help us to never do it again.God is real, and weither you believe in Him or not, you will stand before Him. It comes down to you believe on Jesus or you die and go to hell. Theres no way around it and no way to sugercoat it for you. Its one or the other. You see, Jesus had to be God or nobody is saved.
