@@DonVon Yes!! Start with the album... songs link together throughout all his albums. ALL of his videos need to be included in my opinion. There's only a couple 'sad' songs really, although some others are very intense and deep. Track 4 on the Therapy Session album is a really sad one... the saddest! Buckle up!!! It's one heck of a ride. Also, NF does not use a single cuss word in any of it!!
@@DonVon The Mansion album is really when this version of NF started out. Earlier than that, he hadn't quite found who he was as an artist. There's a few songs that I like prior to Mansion but yes, Mansion is where you start the "NF Journey". This is where he starts to let the fans inside his mind and tells his story. The songs and videos connect. The album order goes Mansion, Therapy Session, Perception, The Search, and Clouds. If you like NF, then you'll enjoy listening to them all at least once. There's only a couple that I don't listen to regularly.
@DonVon_ that's the album that really put him on the map and garnered more attention from the mainstream group of people. It's by far my favorite album but he's got plenty of other good ones on his other albums.... but yeah, buckle up and brace yourself for "Layers". Can't wait to see your reaction on that one
Intro III is my favorite song by him. He really shows off his skill, giving you details of his life in an almost conversation-like form. It's essentially him talking to his own fears, and eventually hitting them with a shovel and burying them, which he references in this song. NF is my favorite, even over Em. I have never heard a song that isn't absolute fire.
@@DonVon I'll say this too. Seeing him perform live in unbelievable. You will never see a more diverse crowd than an NF concert. Kids from ages like 7 and 8 with parents, to (for lack of better term) Goth type, to hip hop heads, to people in their 40's and 50's with no kids there. I was blown away by the reach he has and when he played "Just Like You" it sent chills to see them all singing along. You could tell that song really reaches people (along with many of his songs).
@@christopherdunlap7028 Just Like You is my granddaughter's favorite... she asks for it when she "feels confused in my heart" as she says. She says it makes her feel better, especially when we sing along together. She is about to be 8... her mother (my son's wife) left (drugs) when she was 4. My grandson was just a little over a year old then. He doesn't even know her... we haven't heard from her in over a year.
This is one of my fav cuz it's all of Nate on one song, flow, bars, humor and FACTS! You may think he has sad songs so he's a sad person but actually he us a sarcastic extrovert but bring his emotions out in his songs. I'm here for it! Former hardwire Em fan his whole career but Nate is a whole different breed. " open the pit of my stomach to remind them I'm a whole different animal"

NF is an amazing artist. I do recommend not comparing him too much with eminem, people have done that a lot and he personally hates it lol. You may have already decided on the next song to listen to, but I highly recommend "Story" or "The Search" next!
This one was the hidden gem overlooked at first by all his other brilliance on the mixtape. It’s so dang good. Don’t compare him to Em. Nate is another level. Period. And I’m 48 and grew up with Em. This kid is something else.

My top five is Eminem, NF, 2 Pac, Biggie, and Witt Lowry. The past 4 years I've mainly listened to NF and Witt. Witt Lowry is very similar to NF in his style, and Storytelling ability.

Great reaction video, can’t help but think this song refers to that time when everyone thought chance the rap had the best album of the year in the bag then all of a sudden NF came out of no where and beat him for best album , hence , Count the votes wasnt me , that’s a joke, just a thought
@@DonVon He's a Christian rapper but his The Messenger 4 album was great he also did a response to Joyner Lucas's devil work which is a great combination to listen to bizzle responds beautifully
NF could be Frankenstein's monster but he's more of a story teller than Em. It's like a peach and a plum, they're similar but different. I hate to say it, and it might be blasphemous, but sometimes Em's stuff is to dense for me. I mean when every word is a double or triple, your brain has to work twice as hard to process one song. And sometimes I just wanna hear one song at a time. Sometimes I don't want to decipher bars like I'm searching for a hidden meaning inside a piece of scripture, sometimes one high quality meaning, is meaning enough.
