NF - TRUST Feat. Tech N9NE (REACTION) | Superior Class Of Lyricism Displayed!!

My perception as someone deep in NF, I don't see this song as a race between the two.. i think they've evolved beyond racing and it's about "Trust". I pose another thought.. if you look at the two verses literally in composition.. the songs called Trust for a reason. This was Nate allowing a self admitted fan, Tech, actually in his Mansion, and how did Tech respond besides just not cursing? First, he calls himself the “next King up”, at the beginning.. then he actually defends Nate, as a person, and what his verse said about the devil scheme. Tech literally says “T9 & NF are elephants, in the room without a closet for skeletons, QUIT EMBELLESHING, A DEMON FROM HELL IS SENT, YELL IT WENT, DONNY, YOU’RE OUTTA YOUR ELEMENT”.. the quote "Donny, you're outta your element".. this is a quote from The Big Lebowski where John Goodman's character (Walter) is constantly screaming at Steve Buscemi's character (Donny) b/c Donny is constantly interjecting random opinions he doesn't know any context for when Walter and the Dude (Jeff Bridges) are talking.. so when he repeats that line throughout the movie, it's b/c Donny literally is out of his element b/c he doesn't know what's actually going on.. i see this as a clear parallel that Tech is protecting Nate in this last screaming line, when Nate’s verse finished with “even if i made it to heaven, he’d find a way to get me back & SEND A DEMON TO TO GET ME”.. maybe its just me, but to me.. this is Trust. Tech is reminding the demon he knows nothing about about Nate and is out of his element showing up in heaven, so he screams Nates Demon straight back to hell to protect him... thats Trust. 🤍

NF & Tech are good friends. Tech has been seen at some of NF’s shows. There are a few pics of them together, one of them Tech is wearing an NF shirt and an NF VIP pass around his neck.

I feel like you can tell how much respect top-tier lyricists like tech have for the others' craft by how much they put into their verse. Tech snapping like this and also not cursing says a lot to the mutual respect

It's kind of a shame what has happened to the NF fan base since he really started to blow up with The Search album. I've been a superfan since 2016. The NF fan base used to be known as one of the most kind and respectful, but not anymore. Now there are so many bandwagon folks who aren't really with him for his message. I'm sorry for all the folks who are giving you a hard time. You don't deserve that and I really hope it doesn't push you away from his music.

This songs fire. Respect to anyone that holds there own in a tech feat. Recently Ekoh definitely held his own when he got a tech feature in "nobody like me"

I might be wrong, but in my opinion, I think NF has Great Respect for the Artists that he invites to be Featured on his Songs, and in this song in particular, I think NF knew he had to step it up out of Respect for the Fire that Techn9ne brings to the table. Also, take note that the rappers that are featured return this Respect by spitting bars that are not laced with curse words. Personally, I feel this gives them an opportunity to dig deeper and find more amazing combos to bring the synchronicity. As an NF fan initially, I have been introduced to many good artist this way, and I figure if NF is rapping with them, they are going to be good. Thanks for the Reactions and Keep Em' Coming. Peace.

Amen man rap is God

NF’s part had a message. A message that had depth…I love tech but his part was a strict display in speed and rhyme…no real deep message just how he will stomp all. No criticism there. Tech blew my mind in his half but as usual NF delivered in a complete package. You really should watch the song/video Story. I feel it’s one of if not NF’s best video. Mind blowing powerful.

NF killed this song with substance while Tech N9ne stole the show! Still loved both of them. But that part when NF says he visits the devil and his answer was to kill his ego was genius. Anyone who wants to defeat the devil it all starts when we get rid of our ego, and say yes, Lord.

I love this song and Tech has a song called "Wither" feat. Corey Taylor from Slipknot that's 🔥 Tech collabs a lot w/metal musicians and has proudly said he's been a maggot(Slipknot fans) since '99 ✌🏻

Great reaction. Here's. My take on the devil scheme. "I'm at the breakin' point, I finally had to sit with the devil" He had to sit and negotiate with the rap industry. "He tried to get me to live with him, even called me a sinner" The producers tried to sign him and said he's not what's poppin. "And told me everything about me doesn't feel like a winner" The labels said you don't have the style. "I took a moment, thought about it, feelin' caught in the middle But got offended when he told me I would live in a kennel" He thought about selling out. Thinking about money and fame. But got offended when he would be in their control. "And I can never leave it, even if I made it to Heaven He'd find a way to get me back and send a demon to get me." He can't leave the music. If I he became successful, the industry will try to devalue him. Need more NF reactions my guy. Well done.

Not sure if someone has mention this but if you listen, Tech does not cuss a single word. That is insane from people who know Tech, probably his only track ever without a cuss word. Not that I care, its just another word to me, but it shows the respect Tech has for NF. Respect to both of them for what they do, NF definitely stepped up his flow pace to "try" to keep up with Tech and did an excellent job considering that is not his usually. Tech just comes in and drops them bows in his opening verse. Amazing reaction and track.

What most ppl don’t realize is that this was NF’s beat, production and engineering along with Tommy Profits excellence. As always Techs fast rap and top notch cadence is above most others. In my opinion if you listen to every single one of Nate’s his song is based on Trust! Tech’s verses are of course top notch but basically has nothing to do with Trust! Sonically he sounds ffn great but substance isn’t there!!
