This song really puts the grindset of an adult into perspective. It does not glorify it, it's dirty, you take on jobs you don't even want just to get by. All while pursuing your dream.
Anybody else notice during the beginning the kids say they “wanna be” or “would like” but when it comes to the last one he says “I’m gonna be” means he is confident and knows he is going to become one.
Unless they were coached to say the lines, ain't no way a kid is thinking or even know what confidence is. No kid in the world knows what they wanna be for certain at that young age. You read too much into it.
NF is the ONLY one who’s music gives me goosebumps. Reminds me of discovering music when I was very young. This is so powerful. Hearing this live was literally one of the best days of my entire life
I'm a 60 year old mother, grandmother, and cancer patient. My medical transportation driver introduced me to your music.Im.sooo.glad he did.Keep.up the SUPERB WORK🎶🎶💯💯👍💌
This song makes me so motivated when I'm feeling down. I'll show those who are looking down on me what I'm like oneday, that day will be called "When I Grow Up". #masterpiece
@Cody Morgan I was here a little before Therapy Sessoon but it doesn't matter NF has been slept on long enough and the rap world will witness a truly great piece of work for The Search. On the orders when he is working at the burger joint theres a date for July 12th so let's watch out for that since it might be his track "Time"
Yea every album hes made since moments has gotten better each time. There's a trend here and I'm betting all my marbles this album is going to win big.
@Cody Morgan NF rapped in "why" and explained in IG streams about how he delayed album 4 so much because he was perfecting each song and would one day hate it then love it the next or trash it altogether. I don't really ever see NF releasing trash in any track because he even said on IG that every one of his songs is a part of his mind and he doesn't want anyone to hate something in particular of his mindset since it's just so personal. I'm glad to say that the chances of him releasing trash in the next couple of albums is very unlikely and the chances of getting real music out of it is very likely until the day we die.
Craig Law aight man no need to bring race into it. JID, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Joyner Lucas, etc etc are all black rappers who actually rap about substance not just flexing a bunch of money. Just trap artists in general are the ones who can’t rap to save their life
I feel that I want to be a singer but people make fun of my singing and my parents want me to make a huge difference in the world 🙄 like let me live my liffffeeee When I grow I’m going to be me and deal with that
@@Dracoxyn4lifeNEVER GIVE UP. JUST KEEP GOING ON. CHASE YOUR PASSION. But if you ever need to take a break that’s fine. Then you get right back up, and keep going.
Lamborghini or Ferrari wouldn't make sense because it shows him growing up and continuing rapping to get on top. Geez, I love the song how it is because its true honest and it's not like the rest of the videos people have nowadays with the expensive car in the back ground or them riding it. Nf is different unique so why comment something and try to be funny about it. Like for real I'm not even gonna continue with this because your trying to be funny but your not. One thing, if you don't like it then don't put a mean comment about it or bad comment about it because you wouldn't like it either. ×_× [ I'm going to keep posting this because why not and people stop saying producer: fast cars or woman and then reply as Nf saying no and adding something else. The song is prefect you must not know what hard work is to get to were you want to be. Nf is following his dream and I'm proud of this video because it actually shows how to get to the top in the real world.] ×_×
MGK: Anybody wanna hear me rap? Audience: NO! MGK: C'mon let me play a couple tracks! Audience: NO! MGK: C'mon I can spit it really fast! Audience: NO! MGK: You think I should throw this in the trash? Audience: ...YES!
The ID on his janitor's uniform says ”TS" which refers to his album Therapy Session. I don't think he was cleaning the rap game, but rather his own house (Mansion as a reference)
Its so fascinating to listen to his ideals completely 180. In this song hes talking about wanting to "sign a record deal" and "buy a house up in the hills" but in his newer song, "motto" he brags about not doing those exact things. I love seeing how nate grows and changes with us all. Really puts in perspective that even famous people are still people, just like the rest of us
When I grow up, I’m gonna take my daughter to the NF concert at HBF Stadium in Perth Western Australia. It’s my daughter’s dream come true brother. Can’t wait to see you.
its also a representation of hardcore fanbase there for everything, because one of those two boys is still there for him in the new album's music video after Nate gets kicked out of the award show!
The guy at 2:50 with the drink, is the same guy that's in the end of "motto" ??? so it's like one of his first fans, still watching him when he's exiting that gala. such attention to detail, man.
