The amount of plays and moments in his career that that sentence applies is insane honestly. At least he'll always have that crazy snap recovery against St. Louis
The Cowboys had the game won. With 6 minutes to go and a 7 point lead, but at their own 2. Then Romo throws to Glenn who fumbles into the end zone. After a safety, the Seahawks need only 4 plays to take the lead. ZERO of which has to do with Romo. He still drives the length of the field to give his team a chance. Something that most QBs are not capable of doing. But, when he fails, all the finger only point to him as the only cause. Something else to think about. So many people equate that one play with Romo's career. One play when he was not the QB is used to define his QB career. People are just stupid.
@@marcgw496 You’re talking about the Chiefs, how about the Niners allowing the Packers and Lions to keep up with them, if Dan Campbell doesn’t go for ALL those 4th downs and takes 3 points each time, the Lions are EASILY in the Super Bowl instead
@@marcgw496 They had a great defense that's the real reason of the success, for once that Mahomes don't don't with some of the worst defense, it's great to see a more collective win
It’s vontaze burfict, he’s just a dirty player. It’s the only way he knows how to play. The hit on Brown especially is just so unnecessary. He doesn’t seem interested in playing football, he’s only interested in injuring people. I barely follow football and even I knew his name and his reputation as a dirty player. You don’t get that kind of reputation without some level of truth to it.
@@joshzickus8394 JuJu Smith-Schuster will always be a legend for putting Burfict in his place in their next game. Burfict should've been blacklisted from the NFL for his utter lack of sportsmanship.
@@dominicbertolami2803totally agree. I’ve always said that was the hit that damaged him beyond repair. I genuinely feel bad for the man and not just because I’m a lifelong Steeler fan.
@@Unknownman567 the cowgirls always find a way to lose. Dak is great from September to December. But when January comes that’s when he and the cowgirls will fall
@@alexwriston Apparently Russ and Beast Mode also didn't get along very well. I think Russ just didn't like him as a person, which when you consider Russ comes across as a Gucci pretty boy, makes sense.
@nahor88 yeah he had that whole teachers pet vibe to him and Marshawn had that sat-in-the-back-high-all-class energy to him. Makes sense since Marshawn laughed in Pete's face after the INT. Pete and Russ were annoying, always loved Marshawn tho
As a Ravens fan looking back I’m greatful for the missed FG, it may have hurt then, but it lead us to looking for a new kicker and we got Justin Tucker.
2:07 might be confusing for people unaware of the situation. Raiders & Chargers would have both made playoffs with a tie. The Raiders were going to just let the time run out, but the Chargers took a timeout. The Raiders then decided to kick a field goal to prevent the Chargers from making the playoffs.
I wanna see the alternate ending to the Wilson interception. That one is still painful. Especially the story after. The Hawks have never been the same. 😭
I still have no idea why they didn’t hand it off to Marshawn Lynch who was arguable one of the greatest running backs at the time lol. Years later and i’m still salty about it, and i’m not even a seahawks fan i was just rooting for them in the superbowl.
Didn’t he hit the upright like 6 times that season or something crazy like that? lol In his defense though, soldier field is not an easy place to kick. It’s cold, windy, and you’re on “grass” ( dirt spray painted green) Really makes you miss Robbie Gould.
@@joshzickus8394yeah he missed a lot. What makes it worse was that after he was cut or not resigned by the Bears, stuff came out that he practiced his accuracy by aiming to hit posts and other vertical objects
the blaire walsh kick against the seahawks makes my stomach turn. watched it live and my douche stepdad said “watch him miss it”. he missed it obviously and now all i can hear is his laugh. i will never forget that momentnin my life.
i've never understood why people believe the Raiders would just gift the Chargers a playoff berth and secure a worst seed for themselves rather than just try a game winning kick. They're playing at home vs a rival a tie like that woulda been cowardly. the Raiders coach even said after the game "When we got the big run and got us into what we thought was advantageous field goal position for us, we were gonna take the field goal and try to win it.” Somehow this narrative persists that a timeout was what cost the chargers and not them simply losing the game.
@@cartermelnyk7498yeah I was thinking that they wouldn’t have a time out for their own offense or something, but it didn’t seem like them taking that time out really mattered. Idk
@@cartermelnyk7498The worst part is after the game the Raiders said they would have let time run out to have them both get in but because of they timeout they said, "Guess we should just beat them.".
No it didn’t. Brown was a primadona punk for basically his whole football career since he was a kid. Burfict’s hit was dirty but AB always was, is and will be a scumbag.
Andrew Luck wants a word; because he took so many hits that he was forced into retirement, but HE never stripped on the field and ran away like a baby. Sorry, AB was a whiney, spoiled child. He won’t support his own kids, he won’t support his own career, if it’s not handed to him on a silver platter he doesn’t want it. He’s not a hero. He’s a baby.
The Burfict&PacMan double personal foul combo might be the worst if the Seahawks decision making wasn’t so insanely bad. Massachusetts born and raised, die-hard Pats fan, but man, there will never be a worse play call in a moment of that magnitude ever again. You cannot possibly get any worse in a more impactful situation again
No, children, it’s extremely simple. Russell threw one of the dumbest interceptions this side of Mississippi. What was he, five yards away from butler?
the back to backness of lee evans losing the ball in the end zone to cundiff shanking that field goal still triggers post traumatic stress. Never been more broken as a Baltimore fan.
That infamous Vontez hit on AB has to be the worst way to cost your team the game, let alone the entire season. I mean the ball had already hit the ground before he was within a foot of AB. I know he's a psychopath on the field, but I never knew he was careless about helping his team because all be had to do was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! If I were a head coach or GM, I would've cut him after that game
Could have included Alshon Jeffrey dropping the ball into Marshawn Lattimore’s hands to send the Eagles home in 2018. That was absolutely heartbreaking
Seeing that throw from the Saints-Vikings game still hurts. Friend of mine launched his iPhone into the wall bc of it. Had to carry his phone in a ziplock game until he was able to get a new one. However that field goal that sent the Saints to their first Superbowl was one of the happiest moments of my life. I danced around my house and then couldn’t even sleep I was so happy. It was damn near impossible to call or text anyone bc every Who Dat in LA was on their phones. Swear it was like being back in dial up days for the internet bc cell service was so slow.
Bro farve throwing that cross body interception with 10 sec left against the saints😢 wasn’t even a Vikings fan just loved Brett farve but that play epitomized his career in a nutshell
He did the same stupid shit the year the giants beat the '07 pats to win the super bowl. The packers won the coin toss for OT and he just immediately threw an interception. He was a good player, but after his one ring he choked in the big games so, so hard.
That Billy Cundiff kick was so heartbreaking bro. The Ravens had the Patriots number any and every time they saw each other in the postseason. A shame that game ended like that man :(
By "had the Patriots number any and every time the saw eachther in the postseason", you mean 2 wins each? JFC, how is THAT having someone's number, whee you lose half of the games?!? And in the regular season it was 9-3 Pats. I'm not a Pats fan, or a Ravens' rival. Look it up, 2009 and 2012 Ravens, 2011 and 2014 Patriots.
Forever will think the random dude who runs in and just picks up diggs and carry’s him while he got his arms out has to be one of the best game winning cellys to ever happen outside of film 😂 shit is too perfect almost brings a tear to my eye 😂
@@suyapapi2298 Having one job, as strange as it sounds, can be worse. A guy on offense or defense can affect the game in multiple ways. If they screw one thing up, they can make up for it in a different way.
That raiders chargers game where all they needed to do was tie and they’d both make the playoffs has to be one of the most unique games I’ve seen. Both teams could tie and advance and it actually went to OT and seemed like it was gonna happen and then the chargers ruined it crazy😂
that first one the ref was trying to help them too, you can see him move the ball back to the proper spot but you can see him realize that it would make the whole team move so he sets it a few inches ahead so it can be spiked faster
Ngl, as a raiders fan I still have a very little clue of how Staley’s time-out affected the outcome of that 3rd and 4 possession. Was the play designed for us to throw first before the time out? Did the chargers defense change and we took advantage of it? Did it give us more time to set up the Jacobs run instead of us wasting our timeout? Could be either of these, but I’m not completely adamant on how that coulda possibly ultimately costed the chargers their season. Oh well, it sure was satisfying tho! #RN4L
I remember it came out later that the raiders were just gonna play it safe and go for tie, as that would also clinch them a playoff berth. The timeout changed their thinking and ended up getting the chargers eliminated.
The situation was that if chargers and raiders tied, both of them would go onto the playoff. If one team won, the losing team would’ve been eliminated. For the most of the game, they played competitively and I give them respect for that. Once the OT hit, you could tell the teams were playing not to lose and just letting the times tick. By calling a timeout in that moment, Staley showed to raiders that he was playing to win, not for a tie. Raiders said f it, then we are gonna try our best to score pts then win this game.
Pretty sure we lost because defense couldn't stop the Chiefs all game except for the very end. Had nothing to do with Bass (and even if he had made it, the Chiefs had plenty of time to make a FG).
Lmao after the Super Bowl Bills fans definitely need to understand even if Bass made the kick KC had like 1:40 to get into FG range Mahomes and the offense could have done it easily and won 30-27
Of course they don't think it will change anything. They are just pissed off and want to bitch at the refs to make themselves feel better. It's like if someone punches a hole in the wall. Sure, it's stupid, but it's not like they think punching the wall will change whatever pissed them off. They are just doing it to relieve their anger.
Umm.. nope. That's pretty standard stuff in the playoffs, defensive struggle. He has to make that kick, it's not like it was a 54 yarder. Plus he had started missing kicks all year. Also, Trubisky drove them down the field. But I do believe it was tipped as someone mentioned above. 90 likes, fucking casuals.
That Bears game was lost not on the Double Doink, but in Week 17. The Bears could have simply intentionally lost to the Vikings, setting up what would have been a rematch and a virtual first round bye for them (because Minnesota sports teams are, by and large, a first round bye for the opposing team in the postseason)
I wanna see the alternate ending to the Wilson interception. That one is still painful. Especially the story after. The Hawks have never been the same.
For those of you who may have forgotten: what made the Bears double-doink in that playoff game even worse, is that the kicker had hit the goalpost 4 times in one game just a few weeks prior. WHAT ARE THE ODDS?! ....hear that? That's my ptsd returning 😫
I had never heard the name “Malcolm Butler” in my life before that goddamn pick. It was like he was a demon conjured into existence for just that moment and then he immediately vanished back to the underworld.
The Bengals may have experienced the single most karmic loss in sports, not only did they lose after doing something awful, but the awful thing directly caused it. If Burfict just stayed the hell away from a defenseless receiver for once they'd have the game in the palm of their hand, but he had to be himself and cost them the game, and then it was crowned by the reminder that the whole of the Bengals D at that time were scumbags since Jones fought over it and cost them another 15. You really couldn't dream up a more deserved loss.
For years the Bengals had fostered dirty playing and supported players known for being abusive on and off the field. That play should have been their wakeup call, but even for a few seasons more they continued the same culture. Glad that getting Joe Burrow has seemed to turn things around for them, but that play is an ugly reminder of what happens to a team when you allow dirty and undisciplined play to fester. To this day, that play disgusts me, and I'm not even a Bengals fan.
That hit by Burfict took away the chance of us seeing what could have been one of the greatest WR careers of all time. AB had so much more to achieve and that hit changed his trajectory forever.
As a bengals fan, it gets me so mad and disgusted watching that every time. I was totally shell shocked and disappointed after that. I felt like I literally lost all hope on the bengals lol
