@@deroistewart1475 As they should. And I understand why the announcers would do what they could to discourage this, but maybe the camerawork should have matched the tone of the announcers.
@@jjefferyh extra funny, because they also both only have 1 NFL Championship win (before NFL/AFL merger) with the Cardinals win in 1947 and the Vikings in 1969. They are two painful franchises in many ways.
And he said "Ponder Passing" which those words will haunt the minds of Vikings fans for years to come along with the late Pat Summerall saying "Gary Anderson hasn't missed a kick in two years."
@@shocktrauma85 and since then they lost another playoff game kicking. And it’s a stretch but how about that Buccs game the other day...after that I say throw across your body every time lol
@Yvan Yvienen that was the NFC championship game and it was tied with less than 10 seconds left so he meant that was the play that decided who was going to the Super Bowl.
"That is a disgusting act." I literally bust out laughing everytime I hear that clip. Acting like Moss pulled down his pants entirely and took a shit on the field lmao.
I remember seeing it live and thought he was pretending to wipe his tush on the pole, which would have been too much. That's what it looked like from that point of view and that's why Joe Buck reacted like he did. I'm not a Joe Buck defender, but I was thinking the same thing initially until I saw the other angle and realized it was nothing like that.
I’d be willing to bet most of the people watching this don’t realize that it came after what might have been the most miraculous last second play in NFL history. As a saints fan though, I wouldn’t have it any other way
I think Al Michaels is the king of getting angry on air. It’s the passive-aggressiveness that does it for me. I died at “…it’s a disaster waiting to happen. Anyway, now we go to Andrea on the sideline… if you can see through the haze”
Al hasn't understood the game for 40 years and continues to nitpick over silly stuff because of it. It's why he's on Amazon now. In his prime he was great at baseball, though.
The Brett Farve one was hilarious, my guys voice was escalating with each breath he took I’m surprised it didn’t end without us hearing a table being flipped 😂😂
The best part of this was hearing the Viking fans finally discover what Packer fans had known for years. Favre will eventually rip your soul apart with his foolish decision making.
Brett was mugged and beat-up with illegal late hits during the WHOLE freakin' game, AND don't forget his carrying the Vikings the way that he did in his two years with the Vikes was AMAZING, yeah, that pass SUCKED, but, EVERYTHING else that he did...
My favorite quote! "Why do you even ponder passing? I mean you can take a knee and try a 56 yard field goal! This isn't Detroit, this is the Super Bowl!" 😂😂
@@christopherd637Nope. That’s Paul Allen, he’s been the Vikings radio announcer for decades now. So in a sense he does have money on them because it’s literally his job and life at this point.
Not a Vikings fan (or hater), but Paul Allen is one of my favorite announcers in all of sports. He really lives and dies with that team and it makes for some of the absolute best calls in big moments, win or lose.
Absolutely shows how much cooler Collinsworth is than Joe Buck though, Joe Buck absolutely sucks ass. Most no fun, boring, no personality announcer. Collinsworth has a humorous take on it like any reasonable person should and Joe Buck is completely offended like some christian choir boy
@@turkey4957 I'm sensing you don't care for Joe Buck? Can you just illustrate a little more why we'd rather listen to a screeching car alarm than listen to Joe Buck ?
@@robertdredden5474 4 different Super Bowls no win before the 80s before the Buffalo Bills 4 straight Super Bowls no win I'm old enough to remember this topic
This was after a penalty pushing them out of field goal range. Adrian Peterson had 3 fumbles 1 at the 1 yard line before halftime. This was a complete meltdown of a team as I have seen.
Even all the Packer fans watching were like "uhhh calm down dude.. that was barely anything lol" i know because i am a packers fan and saw that one live lol
Was once watching Al Michaels announce a football game and at the end with timeouts, injuries and reviews it was taking forever to finish. Michaels finally got mad and said,”You know what I like about the NHL? When there’s 2 minutes left in the game the game is over in two minutes.”
I think the reason I like his rant here the best is because most of the other guys are upset about their team messing up a play. Al is annoyed because nonsense is distracting from the overall quality of the game. It's something we can all relate to.
“AND NOW HE FIRES OVER THE MIDDLLLLE ….intercepted. I can’t believe what I’m seeing right now” I’ve never heard disappointment that bad in my life 😂😂😂😂
Now some sadistic twisted part of me wants to see Randy Moss punch a child in the face. My maternal instinct has completely abandoned me at the moment, HELP! LOL
As a Saints fan, I was preparing myself for a game-losing FG. I thought it was over. I don’t think I’ve ever gone from a frown to a smile any faster than I did in that moment… except, maybe, two weeks later when Tracy Porter picked off Peyton Manning to seal the SB victory!
I just LOVE how the entire Jets sideline was cracking up at the fan running onto the field, while the announcers bitched and the Texans looked like a bunch of salty assholes. And that damn Randy Moss clip is literally on every list like this.
Worst Football announcer in the NFL... the guy is horrible. So horribly biased, anytime something goes against the Vikings, he talks about how the refs, league are cheating against the Vikings. Guy is such a D-bag.
@@BurnedRemains You like Huey Lewis and the News? Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism... that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '87, Huey released this -- Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip To Be Square." The song's so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity and the importance of trends. It's also a personal statement about the band itself.
Paul Allen sounds like a die hard Vikings fan. That's one reason why TV announcers are better than radio announcers, cus the latter goes over the top alot.
It's all in fun fans will be fans but when the announcer called them a moron I found that absolutely hilarious...the way he said it I thought was hilariously funny...
haha he's a local vikings radio announcer so I think he's allowed to be biased. It's only national broadcasters who work for Fox, Cbs, Nbc, Espn, etc. who cant be biased
@@shivoynagpaul1773 local commentators are the best. In Argentina they'd be cursing everyone and their moms qhen their teams losses. Wish it was the same in the US but they'd get sued probably like everyone else.
I saw this live and if I remember correctly the receiver didn't get his feet down but they had the force out rule back then and that is what the refs called. That rule is no longer is a thing thank goodness.
Joe Buck is a cry baby. Moss's celebration wasn't anything bad at all, I didn't think so when it first happened either. If he literally dropped his pants then ok, but just the motion of it hurt his delicate little state of mind
@slicing onions Yk how these commentators and media people want football to be basic n boring with no celebrations n fights all that like the fans enjoy it nobody’s complaining so they need to shut up🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@andrewwhite1585 who tf cares literally that’s the problem with the NFL the owners, reporters and commentators want football to be politically correct all the time to where hard hits are damn near illegal, hitting the quarterback is always a penalty now, celebrations are offensive, and if you get in a fight your disgracing the game Randy was having fun, his teammates were having fun they all thought it was funny and even former players laughed at it so what stop crying
@@andrewwhite1585 I’m really not it’s just a fact when your on the field doing a celebration it isn’t unprofessional they ain’t say nun about TO or Kevin byard running on the cowgirls star dancing and posing or AB twerking after he scored or Isaiah wiping his ass with the football n handing it to the ref but bc Randy does something issa problem is my point
The Vikings announcer is just a badass. Perfectly captures the emotions of a true fan in the moment. I would hate him if I was a player but that's kind of there problem.
I may be biased but the reaction of when The Vikings get knocked out of the playoffs by the Cardinals. Is a blood curling scream. Just so much passion in this amazing sport!
@@benjaminbral9465 Nah. Its the Fail Mary because they reviewed it and STILL got it wrong. The PI call was bad, but cannot be reviewed. So they only got it wrong once.
@@vtwelve777 i'm not a Raiders fan (though I do like them cause of an internet friend) and that call was absolutely horrible. Even Brady said that it was a fumble.
As a Seahawks fan, I always thought that last clip was absolutely ridiculous. It feels so cheap getting a win like that. There is no way anyone can look at that in review and think it's a Seahawks touchdown. It's like when you're in highschool and you get the spot on the team over the other kid who's twice as good as you because your dad's the coach. Like, no, dad, I don't want this. Everyone is going to hate me now and I can't blame them.
My last name is also Buck.. I'm not sure if we're actually related, but the majority of that side of the family act EXACTLY like that. Like they're above such foolery.
I hate that Vikings announcer. I don't blame Favre at all for the throw. A 56-yarder is low probability and the receiver looked open. The defender just made a great play. Lifelong Packers and Favre fan here.
@@carlvancleve9509 It was a stupid arse decision by the Ol Gunslinger but I savor every moment of that little nugget in time ... The RU-vid videos of ViQueen fans losing their shiite over it is priceless. Re-affirms to me StVince has a sense of humor :)

Rex caught a lot of shit for his antics because people have this conception that coaches are supposed to be humorless bores who take everything super seriously. But he seems like he would be a ton of fun to hang out with. That doesn't seem true for most coaches.

“NOOOOOOO!!!” Hahaha that had me cracking up!!!! He was so devastated when he missed that PAT! Than the other “NOOOO NOOOOO!!!” when the Cardinals beat the Vikings. “There are Minnesota Vikings crying on the field!!!!” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The framing of the first one, with the stationary camera and the fan in bright red running through the shot with security chasing him, is just so perfect.
Haha the way he SCREAMED about Favre. As a Packers fan it’s so relatable. Favre was a genius in some ways but GD did he make some horrible throwing decisions and gave me many near heart attacks. A legend.
Brett Farve was ass. I know John Madden loved him, and to Madden he could do no wrong. But Brett Farve was one of the worst QBs I’ve seen play football.
As a life long vikings fan I watched all these moments live and hearing PA's call on them bring me right back to the moments. And hearing Joe Buck brings me right back to perhaps my favorite TD celebration of all time!
