Mahomes threw that ball and hit his WR right in the face. The Chiefs were going to lose regardless, but that was a perfect 10.0 pass and the WR blew it.
That why he ended up being caught from behind a decent amount of the time on those long runs. He'd make the entire opposing team miss a couple times during the play, usually starting at 5 yards in the backfield, and would be too tired to close it out. He broke so many ankles every game.

Roger Craig was a beast. The fact that he isn’t in the Hall of Fame is a travesty. And I’m not even a Niners fan. He was the pioneer of the duel-threat running back. Guys like Marshall Faulk, Edgerrin James, Brian Westbrook, Priest Holmes, etc all followed in his footsteps. Anyone who watched his career happen would come away with the undoubted belief that he was just as integral to how phenomenal that offense was as Montana and Rice.

the only thing that tarnishes that play a little (it was the AFC Championship againstt Tennessee if i recall) is if you watch the play from another angle, you can tell he nearly loses the ball fro ma strip at the 1, but he manages to bring it back in.
But no seriously, I feel bad too. RU-vid highlights don't even show 2% of his career. Like every play, it was wild how he moved and his presence. Unique to watch. Also, those who didnt get to see mike vick or like even Ed reed as well

There was a play by Jameis Winston where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were playing the Atlanta Falcons had the ball late in the 4th quarter and he managed to get a 1st down.... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING DAY!
That Mahomes throw still gets me. Yeah I'm a Chiefs fan and yeah they got dominated but Mahomes played great. His line couldn't protect him and his receivers couldn't catch a ball just like this one. Every snap Mahomes had less than 3 seconds in the pocket.
Mike Alstott, Roger Craig, Bo Jackson, Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, Lawrence Taylor, Steve Young, Randall Cunningham...I love seeing the old guys that I grew up watching get some love.
It's amazing what age will do to you. I remember being a kid and hating mike alstott but now in my 30s I appreciate his work ethic that man was something else. Also always enjoyed watching Barry Sanders. Being a bears fan tho hated watching both those men run down our throats tho

It was so strange how poorly the Chiefs offense played all around. Reminded me a bit of SB48 with the Broncos and Seahawks. Once the Bucs defense, especially the front seven, took over and made Mahomes run backwards every pass play, that game was over.
@@markjohnson3413 , I’m saying that because mahomes gets in superhuman type highlights and other highlights off of those drops. There’s been insane throws while falling down before mahomes and no one cares. His throw should be on one of those “what if” kind of highlights not ones where the QB or whoever else is actually getting yards or touchdowns.
