This is my favorite NFL on CBS intro of all time. I'm so lucky to born & grew up in the 80s. RIP Pat Summerall & John Madden.

This awesome theme takes me back to high school, when a young explosive QB named Randall Cunningham was the “Ultimate Weapon” for the Eagles. Memories!

Up until 1987 we had St. Louis Cardinals playing on CBS. Arizona is their current name.

Too bad this didn’t air in the Super Bowl XXI, looked like CBS Sports was trying to dump it with a different vibe with new animation and music. It only lasted for that game… however the theme was resurrected for the SEC on CBS for many years that followed.

📺🏈I like watching football just like the next girl, but the 1986 theme of the "NFL on CBS" I didn't like. I just didn't like the way the music sounded when I first heard it!🏈
