Purdy definitely wasn’t great with his accuracy from the rain. But his receivers had 4 drops tonight as well. Our O line rarely gave him ample time. But he did the same thing against Cleveland he did tonight, played sloppy but lead a game winning drive at the very end to win it. The only difference is Moody missed the kick against Cleveland.

Definitely obvious that Brock stepped up on the most critical moments and yet Stratham still discredit Brock. No Deebo, dropped pass by George on that final run but yet Brock remained composed and executed perfect throws when it mattered the most. That’s a sign of greatness and this is what all these hateful people were hating about all season but now Brock finally delivered from behind and yet no respect. No credibility for these analysts at all. Running lanes opened up because defense must respect Brock’s passing and this guy was a defensive player of the year and he doesn’t understand this concept. 😅

Before you state that either quarterback made mistakes, please consider that a good defense makes a quarterback look bad. Think with the weather both played as well as they could against good defenses. This made it a nailbiter of a 4th quarter.

Mostly nonsense. Purdy played awfully. He was off even when it was dry, even when he had a clean pocket and the receiver was wide open. Purdy would have looked bad against the '08 Lions out there. This was just a very bad game for him, he was off before the game started. You have a point about Love, but that can only be taken so far as well.

Love and the Packers did outplay the 49ers in the first 3 quarters. One of those turnover (on downs) was a mistake by the ref, giving them a terrible spot (refs tried that again later too). Packers D dropped 3 easy interceptions from Purdy. Packers just weren't able to close it when they had multiple chances to, and against the 49ers, that was going to eventually bite them

@@NWI_Steel they did control the game but didn't have any appreciable results...2 deep drives that ended in field goals. Purdy throws 1 32 yd endzone strike to erase all that effort...just saying. Look at the picture properly. Also Purdy was much better with the ball, 0 turnovers to Love's 3 turnovers...can't deny that. Stop talking about bad spots or almost interceptions. Almost interceptions have never counted ever, but they suddenly count with Purdy...Pls stop the nonsense and get back to reality.

As far as luck goes, the 49ers had some bad breaks too, like Deebo leaving the game. But Love throwing picks and Carlson missing a FG isn't luck it's just young players making mistakes.

Love threw for just under 200 yards, 2 INTs, on 61% completion with a rating of 72. Dak last year against the 49ers, threw for 206 yards, 2 INTs, on 62% completion with a rating of 72. Everyone blamed Dak for the loss and said he played poorly. But somehow Love doesn’t get the same criticism for putting up the same bad numbers against the same team. I’m a 49er fan, not a Cowboy fan arguing for Dak. Just funny how media pushes 2 different narratives for literally the same product (QB stat line) giving the same result (loss to the 49ers in the playoffs).

Because the expectations for Love was much lower than Dak. Packers was a 10 point underdog. Most media didn't give Packers much of chance, and they clearly outperformed.

It's also somewhat due to how those games unfolded though. Dak struggled the whole game with his early picks, inconsistency, and just how rattled he looked. he was a major reason Dallas couldn't get anything going to win, considering the defense held the niners to 19 points. Jordan love looked really good for the majority of this game and was a big reason they were winning... and then the picks came late. I'm a niner fan too btw but just calling it how I see it. I feel like jordan played a better game than dak and handled the moment better. The last pick was pretty inexcusable though... no reason to throw that in that situation

Niners looked like a team that didn't play in a month, extremely rusty. Insane penalties, poor special teams, bosa and young both had ZERO sacks, that hasn't happened all season since they played together.

? Packers have an all-pro returner & Young has 2.5 sacks in 9 games with the 9ers. The only reason the 9ers won is because they were fresher (in particular Greenlaw). The Packers defense got tired. They had to go 89 plays vs the Cowboys and because this game was on Saturday, they had short rest, and they had to fly across the country. If this game was on Sunday, they would've won.

I was at the game and it rained cats and dogs all day in Santa Clara. Soaked conditions, players slipping left and right. It’s hard to play elite football when you have those conditions.. neither team sparkled. Niners need to step it up the next two games

It wasn't rust, he has trouble gripping the ball when it's wet. That's why he kept trying out gloves throughout the game, and his accuracy was off all game. He had the same problem in the Cleveland game and in college.

Before saying how great Love is and how horrible Purdy is, Purdy's completion % for the game was 59% with 252 yards and a QBR of 61.8. Love's was 61.8% for 194 yards and a QBR of 44.5. The wet weather and solid defensive play impacted both QBs. Love gets no criticism and Purdy gets all of it because of 2.8 percentage points? Besides which, Green Bay lost.

I think it's more because the packers were 10 point underdogs and do not have nearly the amount of talent the 49ers do. You expect a #1 vs #7 seed game to be a blowout. It wasn't, so it's reasonable to look and see what went wrong for the favorites.

GB had all the tools to win this game, they had a great strategy by controlling the ball most of the game and putting pressure on Purdy, our defense looked phenomenal, however I keep going back to a few things that I feel changed the outcome of the game. 1) Missed picks, GB had at least 2 opportunities to capitalize on obtaining an interception from Purdy. I’m sure if they would have caught the balls, San Fran would have felt more pressure and perhaps we could have scored another TD. 2) Our kicker is just too inconsistent, with one of the worst records this season, that field goal could have tied up the game. 3) I could have swore the Packers got that down. But all in all, it really was a good game to watch, to see two monstrous defenses and offenses play I hardly recognize the Packers from the beginning of the season and to even lead the 49ers in the scoreboard was really impressive. Our running game was spectacular, so overall I’m disappointed that GB didn’t make it to the championships, however I’m proud of how much of a war they brought San Fran. 👍🏻🏈

They can be dismissive if they want to but the 49ers season was on the line and Purdy was NAILS! He didn't miss on their final possession and methodically drove the 49ers down the field for the game winning TD....a FG wasn't enough, it had to be a TD...It doesn't get anymore clutch!

Packers had this game in the bag and lost it. 2 easy interceptions that the secondary guys showed whale hands on. Both of the first half miscues when the Pack went for it on 4th down and maybe should've got the 3pts and the missed FG (might need a new kicker y'all) then of course Jordan Love doing his Brett Favre impersonation with the across the body into triple coverage pick when he could have just lobbed it out of bounds. Overall, great season for the young Pack, looking fwd to Love and crew developing and getting back to the divisional round or NFC championship next season. Go Pack! 🧀🏈

"Brock does not like throwing a wet ball" - that is the truest statement about this game. Purdy has a ton of great games and two horrible ones. Both were in the rain. Can't throw at all when it's wet. Accuracy wasn't even close to his normal throws.

Green Bay was definitely the better and more explosive team and outplayed the Niners but when you have to rely on the kicker its never a good thing especially the one who has the worst record of missed field goals in the league. They had all season to rectify the problem but kept him on the team because they drafted him and didn't want to admit he was a liability for the better of the team .

When have you ever really seen a QB that likes to throw a wet ball, or a frozen ball. Sone of the most entertaining games are in those conditions because so many crazy plays happen. Running the ball is so important for rough conditions.
