I'm sure the real reason Gruden would eventually get fired was because he pissed off the ginger hammer in those emails. They would of let his "Michelin tire lips" comments slide but as soon as Goodell got offended gruden had to go. Only shows gruden was accurate in his assessment of Goodell.

I 100% call BS! I’m not saying everyone talks like gruden, but I’ve never met a person who didn’t say at least 1 word he said. So unless he’s getting it for going after everyone, there is no chance no one else in the NFL, and let’s face Washington football, there’s be politicians in those emails, probably even high ranking military officers. Not a chance gruden is alone. Not one bit.

Each to check just verify a long list of words. Check the flagged emails for possible violations to the league's mandate on behavior. I very highly doubt the NFL wishes another manure show similar to the CTE concussion scandal. They will not defend anyone. There could have been also behind closed doors reprimands as well. Gruden is not smart to manure on his bosses and boss of bosses.

If my past post, emails, and comments came out today from that long ago I would be crucified, fired and shipped out of the country. I have a complete different outlook on life now. His supposed quote when talking about DeMaurice Smith was " has lips the size of Michelin Tires" and the context was referring to how Smith is a massive liar and can't be trusted. Someone else was the one who mis quoted him and said "Rubber Lips" and even then you are reaching for a racist connection on that

They go from a sexual harassment/abuse investigation to an email investigation of one employee out of 3750 employees. If I were Gruden I’d sue for enough to own the NFL.
Another thing to possibly consider, is that there probably would be more people who could have been indicted by the e-mails, but since most of the old coaching staff for WFT is now unemployed, the NFL is just making sure they don’t try to come back into the league, rather than flame them out.

The Friday News Dump does not work when 95% of on-air conversations about your organization occur on the weekend. It is an old-school thing where the dump occurred Friday afternoon so that the Network news shows did not have time to pick it up for their 6pm news shows (M-F only).

You have to be a special brand of stupid to write anything incriminating on work email...and given even NFL front office people are involved, they shouldn't be "investigating" anything. An outside firm should have been handling this from the start.

they need to release all 650k. if they release 30 gruden emails and draw attention and then when the people ask to see the rest they say “oh that’s all everything else is okay” it’s kind of fishy
It's so obvious the NFL timed the Gruden exposure for the Sean Taylor celebration week. It's all misdirection. Gruden is the scapegoat, sacrificial chaff. Ignore the man behind the curtain!
