To all y'all pointing out the AFL teams: The AFL was a separate entity in the 60's until it merged with the NFL in 1970. Hence the Broncos, Pats, Dolphins, and all the rest weren't part of the NFL until the merger. It's the same reason the Browns & 49ers didn't appear until 1950 even though the AAFC was formed in 1946. Great video btw. I like how the Dallas star looks like a flashing sign after 2000.
the AFL's first season was in 1960, with the original teams basically consisting of the modern day AFC East & West...the exception being the Dolphins who's inaugural season was in 1966 & the Bengals in 1968...but interesting side note...judging only on the 10 seasons before the merger in 1970, the Chiefs are considered the greatest AFL team of all time, and the Broncos were the worst...

Yeah the original Browns actually had decent ownership and saw some championships back in the day. It's quite opposite of what we know the Browns as today, the one team that's never any good.
The browns would’ve won a super bowl if the didn’t move. We wouldn’t have had to wait for 2016 to roll around for Cleveland to become a champion again.

Actually the Miami Seahawks moved to Baltimore as the Colts, but that Colts team folded in '53. The Dallas Texans (of the AAFC) folded and moved to Baltimore as the Colts in '53 and thats the Colts we all remember. The AFL Dallas Texans moved to KC as the Chiefs in '63
The Seahawks/Colts actually only lasted one season in the NFL before folding in 1950. Then were revitalized in 1953 from spare parts of several AAFC teams including the Dallas Texans and the New York Yankees... The 1953 Colts were considered an expansion team..

It was a marketing strategy to attracting baseball fans to football, at that time baseball was the most popular sport in America and it was until the late 1950s and 1960s when Football overtook baseball (mainly after Super Bowl creation).
2:32 and just think St. Louis, in 92 you guys could've had the patriots over there if the owner who had just bought the team got his way, luckily for New England, Robert Kraft had always wished he was the owner of the patritos and saved them from moving and becoming the St. Louis Stallions
Browns should have never left Cleveland, Colts should have never left Baltimore and the Oilers should have never left Houston. Instead a new Browns team forms, the old Browns become the Baltimore Ravens to replace the Colts and a new Houston team forms to replace the Oilers. It makes no damn sense.

umm... kansas city is the closest one. still at least a 9 hour drive... i don't know if you are being sarcastic or what... both KC and iowa are east of here...
This video could use an update to (1) reflect the Raiders move to Las Vegas and (2) could be a little longer because you're throwing a lot of stuff in the early years that we can barely keep with with reading some of those blurbs.

The Chargers name and logo was created and originated in Los Angeles with a USC L.A.Memorial Coliseum historical connection and Tommy Walker aka”Tommy Trojan”and then owner Barron Hilton. The Chargers name originated from the USC football games and Tommy Walker aka (Tommy Trojan) famous historical Charge chant he created “Da Dah Dah Da“ Charge! “Da Dah Dah Da Trojans Warriors Charge! Tommy Walker then musician /team kicker helped inspire then owner Barron Hilton “R.I.P.” to name the Chargers football team from the famous Charge chant he created as a USC musician band member /team kicker. When Barron Hilton attended the USC football games the previous years as a football fan at the L.A.Coliseum he would hear the Tommy Walker Charge chant. When Tommy Walker would run out to the football field to attempt the extra point kicks as the team kicker the USC team music band would play Tommy’s Charge chant he created as the team musician and the football fans that attended the games would yell out his Charge chant “Da Dah Dah Dah Da” Charge! “Da Dah Dah Da “Trojan Warriors Charge! to motivate him to score the extra point kicks. So that’s where Barron Hilton got inspired and got the idea to name the Los Angeles Chargers football team. The proof is in the Chargers 1960 original shield logo with the horse charging into battle. The Charger is a horse charging into battle. very similar to the USC Trojan Warrior with shield and sword and horse mascot charging on to the field to battle. Hence the horse in the Chargers 1960 original shield logo. The lightning bolt idea came from Barron Hilton liking the Air Force College football team lightning bolt logo as a College football fan. Till this day that famous Charge chant is heard at the game’s and through out many other sporting game events. The Los Angeles Chargers r the true original L.A. born team now back playing in the original birthplace and not too many team’s can claim that fact. Nice video, but the location of the Bengals irks me a little. They're southeast of the Colts as if they operate out of Kentucky, although they should be just a little southwest (I think) of the Browns.
Well you thought wrong, Cincinati is borders Ohio and Kentucky, the picture is a little low so it doesnt interfere with the Lions name. But it isnt that far off.

Actually that was a WFL team, and while it was a good WFL team it didn't make the leap into the NFL. (and no, the Tide doesn't count, otherwise you'd have a pro team today)
Doesn't mention the Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars joining in 1995, before the Browns moving to Baltimore and the Rams moving to St Louis in 1996. Nor does it make any acknowledgement of the teams in the AFL prior to the ALF-NFL merger in 1970!
Steve Pelt The Jags and Panthers missing is a mistake I'm guessing which I was disappointed about being a jags fan. And the not acknowledging the AFL history is because it is NFL logo history video it is only doing teams that were in the NFL in the year it says at the top. They did the same thing with the teams that were in the AAFC before they went to the NFL.

I wouldn't say Alabama's the state with the most obsessed football. and you only have a population of 4 million and so the closest thing you had to professional team is the University of Alabama which they're good team cuz they win national championships. But like for George example has a population of over 10 million people in both Carolinas have a population of over 12 million combined so usually teams are only for like state to have a solid number of more than like five million people in the state population
