Guess what happened to me recently? While at the Klamath County Library in downtown Klamath Falls, Oregon I noticed the classic Winchester Model 21 book by Ned Schwing titled, "Winchester's Finest: The Model 21." Priced at only $1.00 on a book cart during a book clearance sale I instantly grabbed it! And book is in almost new condition too. This perhaps is the authoritative book on the Winchester Model 21 extant.
Yes, a nice story indeed. It looks as though there's a largish patch[s] of rust fore of the trigger guard. Yes I'd like to own a Win 21 and a Win M 59 Winlite.
@Rob C I have seen the gun. The area you mentioned is where the bluing is flaking. That is common on Model 21s when a hunter carries it in his hand at the balance point.
