Jdm fan boy here, and I just wanna say that I hate how the jdm community is so bias like seriously guys, muscle cars are dope too and both jdm and muscle have advantages and disadvantages. The Godzilla can't beat all muscle cars and you just gotta deal with that. Instead of trying to justify that jdm is better than muscle why not just respect both sides. And I swear there are more jdm fan boys like me just ignore the ones that think supras come with 1000hp stock.

My 79 Camaro had a fantastic turning ratio and was really lightweight of a car. Everything I out in it worked better and better. Got it for 4k. Sold for 7k. My 99 3000GT turned like $#!7 and was heavy as a boat. Towed that car over 5 times and transmission finally went out at 170k miles. :) Car just devalues itself. Sold it for 800 2009 DCLB 4x4 Tacoma now with a new frame, everything works and all options. Super clean. Best investment ever. 133k miles. Worth over 30k. Almost a show truck. Cars aren't the way. Toyota trucks are the way. And classic HEMI MoPars. Best investments

Throughout highschool, I was a Mustang, M3, jdm fanboy inspired by Need For Speed and lame facebook pages. After school I dug more into classic muscle cars and car shows which took my soul for the longest time. Great community and alot to see and experience. But of course it wasn't enough. Beyond my HotWheels roots, I had off-road games when I was younger. My first ever being Super Off-Road: The Baja on SNES and I'm more into Prerunner and baja trucks than ever. I've had 12 vehicles already, but my best ever and the one I've had the most fun in is my 2009 Tacoma. Not only will it be an awesome vehicle to jump in and explore suspension and tires (much more entertaining than the last vehicle experience that took my soul), but it's the perfect vehicle and opportunity TO GET OUT THERE and explore the whole country and will last forever. And it's perfect for my recreationl hobbies. Toyota trucks all the way. So far, I've treated it like a Trans Am by ripping slides and burnouts, but doing additional road jumps, but I can take it so much further (*-*) Born to be wild, man. 🤠

Powersliding is no drifting. Though Ken's vehicles are heavily pumped and tampered. Thus, any car could show a decent drifting capabilities considering their modified suspension and altered weight distribution.

And yo. Literally every Block car has AWD. On top of that, they're nearly as meaty as top tier RallyCross racers, with a short final ratio, which grants a rapid acceleration. In the end, Ken's cars just powerslide.

@@raidwaves criticizing one's skills is not the same as proving an engineering point using Ken's car making skills as a reference. I love Ken's driving style and his driving skills are far beyond mine. However, what I have been trying to point out is that Powersliding is NOT Drifting. Ken is not aiming to actually Drift, but Gymkhana driving. Thus, referring to the way his cars are heavily tuned, I doubt they'll be considered genuine muscle cars now. ANY, I'm saying ANY 4 wheel modern or retro car could easily drift with suspension and power source carefully, but still heavily tinkered. The way most of the JDM cars are capable of drifting almost freshly from the factory indicates to an engineering certainty. While muscle cars were not meant to be for better handling or a continuous controlled sliding without damaging your tires or engine to a certain point. At least these were the standards for the classics of 60-90s. The way muscle cars 'drift' is often referred to powersliding or hooning. That's why Ken's project is named Hoonigan after all :D

Man im a mussel guy and they actually put more work into designing them and plus tuners have to much into them ( twin turbo, neon lights , awesome wraps, bumper changes) and mussel have a huge engine 300 -800 horsepower for a start and a clean red and black or blue or grey wraps like c’mon you don’t need everything on a car and plus go for more instead of one

@@ThePokessmot actually yes, they are. Modern Japanese sports cars aren't built the same and Japan has really moved away from sports cars in favor of economy based cars with sport packages. The only true sports cars (post 2000) from Japan are the Miatas, the S2000, the BRZ, AE86, the new Supra, and the GTR. Aside from the GTR and possibly the Supra, nearly all newer American Sports cars cost considerably more money and even more to modify and properly tune. Imagine purchasing a 45k Mustang GT, then adding a Kenne Bell supercharger on it, or swapping for a CobraJet race engine? Either one of those applications will run you anywhere from 6 to 20k alone! The Nissan GTR will set you back around 100k, even a 2017 model can be bought for around 70k while the Nismo will set you back a whopping 200k! But that's only one example. The Supra is around 50k which comes in under both Ford and Chevy. Dodge's SRT boys will run your pockets starting at the 60k mark all the way up to the 80k priced Demon. So yea, we have the more expensive cars in the US. A really cool comparison would be which 90's era of cars are worth more today from both countries?

@@Astonvman007 I know absolutely no one who has put a supercharger on there GT. For most people the 5.0 is perfectly fine. I’m not saying people don’t do it but you act like everyone does that. Most guys in the US buy there GT’s, get lowering springs, maybe swap for the EURO taillights and do some other cheap miscellaneous add ons.
