This game was really difficult. I remember redoing races alot until i mastered both the tracks and cars. Not often i can say that about current racing games .
I remember when I first played the final tournament on PS1. It was the time when I didn't know English that well (I'm from Poland), so I didn't really understand the "Lap two" bit. Enough to say I decided to celebrate the first race by making a 360 degree turn after lap two, thinking the race was over.
Que recuerdos....En este juego yo tenia todos los autos completamente mejorados y mas de 30 millones en creditos.Gracias por este video mi amigo,me hizo recordar una muy buena epoca en mi vida...
I remember I couldn't win the last tournament, and I was good. Dominated all earlier events with minimal/no damage. Saw this game at the store, thought about buying it to both trip on memory lane, and settle and old defeat.
Nostalgia.... me and my friends played and completed this tournament together. it take lots of time, but it was fun.. I have played lots of NFS games. but this one always will be my #1 all-time favourite racing game from NFS and Overall Best soundracks, Best Handling, Unique engine Sounds(every single car has its own sound, remember that ferrari's engine Roar) great maps, Kindiak was my favourite.. car selection was also great.... I tried to play this game on pc, downloaded ps1 emulator and NFS 4, but it won't run.. how solve this problem??
Oh yeah...The third track...tunnel...McLaren F1 GTR...engine at 6000-6500rpm ... the best sound in the world Nostalgia... And really in this game engine sound are more more more more more better than the GT6 and modern NFS))
What a game. In career mode it could game over you anytime you were a total moron driving. But yeah tuning was there, cops were there, nice intro was there ( Most wanted was really influenced from High Stakes), pink slips and if you weren't careful enough it could cost you your car, car damage was there, brilliant game (after you master it, it's really easy to play). But yeah I mean all the games nowadays are seriously trying not to game over a player, this one is a gem. Add this whole game as a basis, an open world with day and night, both legal and illegal street races (I mean come on how hard could it be to make the protagonist some sort of a Jason Statham) all sort of races from circuit, drag, drift, sprint, difficult AI, car damage, and plenty of cars (100 - 150 cars) untier them and let the speed talk and some backstory I mean some cars are available through a yard, others are available only as imports and on special delivery, others are available on a dealership, and others like this McLaren are available only if you are high profile and some quests like there were in NFS Carbon to unlock specials through online racing. Seriously if EA does that, makes it difficult and easy to game over it it's the perfect NFS game.
X2. Along with NFS3 also on PC i feel the handling was perfect since you feel you have 100% control over your car something no other racing game except CTR let me have. PS1 in comparison feels more realistic but this just doesnt work because of the track design and pursuit mode being designed with an arcade perspective.
I agree with ACK GTS, not because I know the lap times, only because you're making too many mistakes. You have to be flawless beginning to end, and still that wasn't good enough. I think I won only one race in all the tries I made.
I just don't like the way the most powerful cars handles. The F50 with all upgrades becomes undrivable. The McLaren is fine but you still have to deal with a wonky handling. It's passable thou.
@@Cykelpump33 x2, but the AI drives perfectly without oversteering. In PC the F50 had one of the best grip in the game, but in PS1 it seems that more handling stat is worse. The only way i have to win this tournament is being lucky placing second or third every time and AI switching places constantly so by the end of the tournament i still have the most points. It takes a while though.
cheater, lap time for 10 + seconds longer than it should be, go NPC 1, 24, 00-1, 17, 00, and time 1, 38, 00 on the tractor is faster if you come first lap record and race as a whole must beat
not if u run it correctly with max settings through Windows XP! but it's still a gret game! but it don't have all da NFS 3 tracks included like da PC version does
@@user-vy9mk7um1b The only thing i prefer on PS1 is the event distribution, since on PC finishing the career takes a lot and is very repetitive, but i prefer being bored than frustrated.
