"Hey dad, what is this car? It looks big and heavy." "The Koenigsegg CCX? I used your money. You delivered a lot of tofu, that's why. You actually gained a lot of money by just being a delivery boy." "Aren't our tofu prices a bit too exorbitant if we can afford something like this?"
Story of the Toyota CCX Sprinter Trueno: Back in the 1981 Toyota had partnered with Koenigsegg to develop a car that would beat Lamborghini by a long shot, they started thinking of how would they able to succeed in beating Lamborghini so they started the body of the car it was aerodynamic, slim, curvy, and it's so sleel it would slice air in half! They ended it up with a body that looks like shark and really fearsome, next they move to the engine, they combine Toyota's 4-AGE engine with Koenigsegg's 4.7-liter-V-8 creating the 4.7-8-VAGE engine making it a whooping 934 Horsepower! Remember this was back in the 80's and 934 HP is a lot back in the day. So Toyota and Koenigsegg are starting to work on the car for 3 years until they finished it they came up with a name and they called it the Toyota CCX Sprinter Trueno it was beautiful and elegant there goal is to make 1,450 of these cars but there's one problem, cost, the cost of making the car is 30 Million dollars so Toyota and Koenigsegg only sold 13 from 1984 to 1987 of these cars making them super rare, they retailed the car for 2.5 Million Dollars and within the next few years it sold all 13 cars of there cars and Toyota and Koenigsegg ended their partnership in 1988, one of the lucky customers Bunta who bought the car and decided to use it to deliver tofu for a couple of years until he gets tired and his son Takumi takes care of the delivery at the age of 13 by age 17 he learned on how to drift the car in order to keep the tofu intact and the rest is Initial D history.
Dont blast eurobeat while driving something, trust me i did it with a bike in a downhill like irohazaka i didnt brake, only scratched one arm and broke the 2nd left rib.
Not sure if bad joke or not, but it's the opposite. Eurobeat is a very weird genre where bunch of Italian artist, somehow able to sell lots of song, but only in Japan. And strangely enough, Avex, one of music label which has very strong Eurobeat collection, doesn't want to sell any of em outside of Japan. After 3 generation of Eurobeat ups and down, initial D used Eurobeat as its OST. It lasted until initial D anime ends in Season 5 and beyond, even latest initial D arcade game still used banger eurobeat. Super eurobeat, one of the strongest eurobeat albums, are now running strong on their 251st album, excluding tens, if not hundreds, of other side-project albums
