Yeah, Kaze could be hyper aggressive and try to ram you just as hard as you can police with speedbreaker. Plus it would be nice if player's car wasnt indestructible. Hot Pursuit Challenges reeanbled it and it makes everything better especially pursuits. Other nice thing could be if Kaze's car had unique bodykit that is as damaged as ProStreet Intro cinematic battlemachine RX7 is(plus some weight bonus for pursuits).
MY DUB OF THIS SCENE: Kaze: (Jumps in a panic) "For the last time, This is MY Shamrock Shake!" (Cops Chasing) Kate: "McDonalds will have them again next year! Leave me alone!" (Cops Try blocking Kaze in) Kaze: (Crashes through mall) "C'mon guys, you're COPS! You live off of doughnuts. Just let me have this!" (Cops still follow) Kaze: (Makes a jump) "Yay! My shamrock shake is saved!" (Lands, and the shake spills) ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? I JUST HAD THIS THING DETAILED!!!" (Grumbles and pulls up next to player) Player: "Woah. Kaze, Are you okay? " Kaze: "Just. PEACHY." Player: "...okay then." (Player pulls out a Shamrock Shake and sips it)
Chased by Civic Cruisers and Heavy SUVs at the same time? Huh, wonder what heat level that is. I also wish the police was that incompetent when pursuing me.
Originally(and realistly) you would be chased by all cops from heat you are on and all previous ones, but game couldn't handle this many cop variants so they cut it down to just 2 plus helicopter meaning heat level specific plus suvs. This is why end game escape has federal cars and suvs, when it also should be all kinds of police cars according to logic and cutscene.
What always bugs me about this is why she got into a pursuit before the big race, and how she knew she'd lose ALL of the cops before she got to the race start, what would have happened if she didnt lose them? Would they have just surrounded her and the player?
Imagine if they started the race like in the challenge series where the car drives itself and then launches you into the action with the cops behind you and kaze
They had no time to model them all out, side effect of rushed development because of EA. On PS2 its not a problem as your cant see the interiors, they are just blacked out like UG1 and UG2.
