Had to reupload this as there was a phantom clip in the original, really have no idea what happened there. Armour and defence breakdown will be next. This is a very talk heavy one, not much benefit to extra clips here.

A question about the smoke bomb, what conditions remove the stealth status on Ryu from the puff activation? By stealth, I mean enemies ignore you and focus on the location where the smoke bomb exploded.
The enemy being in a nuetral state is main thing that effects this. If they are in the process of attacking or even recovering from attacking then they are more likely to ignore the smoke bomb. Being the right distance from them also matters, you want to be about a windmill slash' distance from them when you drop the smoke bomb. Unfortunately smoke bombs aren't 100% reliable and sometimes they just won't work but as you play you will get an idea of when they will work and when they won't.

In the fight against Doku, a trick you can do is shoot explosive arrows at his feet, causing him to take the damage from the explosion. As far as I know explosives are the only means of harming him with ranged weapons. Throwing incidiery ninja stars while he's next to a wall should have the same effect, but it is a lot less practical to pull off. This works in the original Ninja Gaiden, but I haven't seen anyone try it with Black, since I don't own it.
Love all these tutorial videos, but the wait for the armour and defence one is killing me. Is it coming eventually or did you change your mind about making that one?
You know what that is a perfect thing to take me away from the VH run for a little while. They still take a while to do but that is one that I think would really help a lot of people.

Also , a query about roll cancelling : as soon as my guard is broken does the block input needs to be registered again or flick of the analog is required along with already pressing of block in order for the roll to come out ? I was wondering if you could share some tips for the archive challenge on vh, monks teleporting plus their magic attacks are giving me a really hard time. Hope you are doing ok, and I'm looking forward to your next videos.
Thanks. For the VH archive challenge I find the Lunar to be best at dealing with monks. The in air XY or just in air Y attack is great for knocking them down. They tend to teleport away from grounded attacks but are quite vulnerable to incendiary shurikens. Make sure to move the camera if you're izuna dropping a cat fiend so you know where the monks are when you land from it. Inferno ninpo is great for them too and they have a higher change of giving you red essence than other enemies. The Lunar UT is also really good against them. You can abuse the third level of the archive too, the cat fiends won't be able to reach you up their so it will let you deal with the monks one at a time.
The future costume is not in Black but you get the Plasma Sword for 49 scarabs on every difficulty above normal. You could select the future costume in HP1 but since original XBL went down you can't select a costume for HP1 anymore. Whatever costume you have on your save will be the one you have for the game.

If your guard is broken you will need to input the roll command again. It's generally a good idea to keep block held down whenever it's possible to do so that way if you do get guard broken then you can immediately roll out of danger.
