The game does def expect you to have 2 wish slots by around the typo zone. Since with two slots you can have half of your resources (1/4 per wish) and the rest focused on hacks and ngu's This becomes the only real way to play when you factor in beards, yggdrassil, and mcguffins that punish longer rebirths and incentive 24 hour rebirths. Since you'll make far more progress daily re-birthing that doing longer ones, at least not without good reason, like 3-5 days with the beta pots and farming in a new zone or trying to max out the special for new gear. But when you have no new gear, it's just set things up at the start for around 15 minutes, leave it on in the background and then come back tomorrow and do the same. Not sure how cards change this since I'm probably around 2-3 weeks away from fighting the Exile myself.
@@doublechindoge7I don’t feel like my opinion matters as much considering I’ve spent money in this game (I have 12 accessory slots and haven’t even unlocked meta land) but from talking to some people on the discord who’ve beaten the game, they don’t seem to agree with you. IK this is cowardly but are you in the discord still? The one thing I can say with confidence tho is that every single feature snowballs like how you said wishes snowball I do think it's fair that you got more angry at wishes for not offering an immediate solution to progression, but it's important to remember that every feature works like that (it took me 2 weeks after unlocking gold diggers to turn on the blood and exp diggers, does that mean gold diggers suck?)
@@vitex198 I am in it, but I don't check in much - as I said, generally wanna focus on progressing on my own and figuring things out for myself. _anyway, to respond:_ First of all, I would say having all those accessory slots would give you a pretty significant boost probably. Second of all, it's much more about the way they snowball, than the fact they do. Gold Diggers don't give you immediate access to high-end diggers like EXP or PP Diggers, but do give instant access to impactful mechanics in the Stat, Adventure, Drop Chance, and Wandoos Diggers. Beards give immediate access to almost all 7 types, only at a reduced speed, and with you having to choose which ones to activate when, rather than just running all 7 at once in Evil onwards. Not to mention, Thirdly - these features often take only a week or two to build up speed, when the Wishes menu takes multiple months. As a fourth point, you also have much more control over the speed at which those menus progress as a player. You can focus Gold Drops / TM for Gold Diggers, and Bars for Beards. For Wishes? I mean you _can_ focus Resource Power, but it just barely moves it an inch, compared to just getting flat Wish Speed Boosts - but you barely get any until after you already pass the Typo Wall. Lastly though I will back off a bit to say, past the Typo Wall, I find the Wishes menu inoffensive. It speeds up past the first page, and just when it's about to slow down again, you unlock the Cards menu - which that especially massively improves Wish progression and makes it feel much better. Not to mention having 3 Wish Slots now helps a lot when I was stuck with only 1 for so long with no way to obtain more. Maybe I should have made this more clear, but while I do mean what I say in this video, the anger is played up a bit for the entertainment. I'm hoping people got that, but I am noticing dislikes being left now weeks after posting this video, and I just hope that's not because people saw this video as some sorta attack on the game or 4G - because that's not what it was meant to be.

I just wanted to make this comment because I felt massively discouraged after watching this and your previous video; I only really commented "good shit" for production quality and because you sounded smar. I get being angry for the content and stuff (it's how youtube works now), but I didn't really know any better at the time. This game is still a lot of fun despite being very much unfinished. A couple of us actually made a private server and we're trying to push mods for the game to fix a lotta different stuff, it'll be pretty cool! Those dislikes are almost certainly because I mentioned the video on the discord, I don't know if you wanna speak with anyone about it but I recommend WarEagle or Silver Wolf, as they've both beaten the game and I'm pretty sure they both hit dislike (what's your progress like now anyway?). @@vitex198 Mods for the game sound cool. Just coming up on Exile V2 at the moment, and loving the Cards menu so far. No real major complaints with the endgame of Evil so far, only that maybe Perk Choice feels like it's getting a little slim at the moment, but even then - on the other hand, Quirk choices feel like they're opening up. Tbh, I'd feel a little awkward about talking to them directly just to avoid coming off as confronting them for the moral crime of leaving a YT dislike... 💀 That being said, if they have any interest in talking to me, I'm up for it. It's certainly not anything I'd hold against them or you. Admittedly that kinda stuff sometimes makes me anxious for a moment - one of those kinda things where you know it's kind of an irrational, over the top reaction, but you still can't help but worry. Mostly because I start thinking I must've said something somewhere in the video that could easily be taken the in a really bad way I didn't mean, but I don't know what it is. If that's all that happened though, that's fine. I mostly just want to avoid a situation where me giving my opinions is sorta stirring up shit without me realising. I'll probably try and avoid this sorta tone in future videos just to be on the safe side though.
It took me 3 months to beat normal, 9 months to beat evil, and a year to beat hell. This game took me two whole years to beat. I’m sure it could be beaten faster but as a sane person, it took quite a lot of time lol

4 words: no cap on offline The way i've been playing evil (and sadistic) mode is to set up a lot of things that self-progress (like ITOPOD and quirks), and then stop playing the game for several *months*, then when i get back several months later i have 280 million perk points and 1.3 million quirks to spend, You're not supposed to be playing the game for hours on end at this point, actively waiting for wishes to complete is like watching paint dry, instead, evil is where the game begins to shift into a format where you're expected to instead spend maybe 10 minutes setting up your "dailies" and then come back the next day to claim the rewards, i just set up 4 wishes at 1/4 of my idle resources and then set up the next set ~2 days later, when the ~40 hours it takes to max all 4 of the wishes have passed, focus on getting those wish slots, the rest isn't very relevant. 4g, in fact, does respect your time by telling you to stop actively playing the game so much, with one mechanic after another that is very unrewarding actively, you just have to listen...
I mean, I get that, I'm not literally sitting there watching the wish bar tick down dw. I just think it's pretty valid to say even if this slow down in pace is intentional, that doesn't mean you can't say it sucks. For me personally, I'm very "in or out" with games. I don't really enjoy just "dipping my toe" into games, and if I'm not able to play them much each day, I just forget to touch them and fall out of playing them pretty quick. I understand as an idle game, it's never gonna be constant non-stop action, but for a large chunk of the game I thoroughly enjoyed that I could come back and check in on the game every few hours and have new stuff to do - and during the typo wall it's very deflating to have it be most times I check back in it's just... _oh, right, there's nothing to do._ Especially when, as I brought up in the previous video, I feel like Evil ironically gives you less meaningful decisions to make and think about than Normal difficulty did because of how much of Evil difficulty just centres around spamming constant R3.
