Nguni Cattle are the MOST ROBUST in the World | Clive Biggs 

Clive passed away on the Easter weekend, 2024. He was struck by lightning while tending his Nguni bulls on his ranch. As you can see in this interview, Clive was an absolute gentleman, extremely humble despite being an expert in his field, around South Africa and the World. I feel very fortunate to have recorded this interview Clive and share his perspectives with you. He will be greatly missed and remembered fondly. Rest in Peace, Clive🙏

The problem with Eurocentric agriculture is that it somehow depreciates the input of the indigenous farmer in indigenous sub-Saharan African farming and when it gains these livestock, it introduces the same processes that led to failed Eurocentric breeding approach. I wonder if it will not all end in the same boat since the same Captain is in charge. Then again, my input is likely to be depreciated.

Sad part is the nguni is still being discriminated against and there is still a lot of ignorance and bias about the breed.

I need this breed and I think the best would be to acquire semen and i hope they can resist tropical climates with tropical diseases please advise how to acquire the semen and I could do with inseminator

Nguni is not a breed. It is a mix of anything looking remotely like a cow. Like all non-thoroughbred animals, they are very hardy. But the meat yield is not high.
