I think this is the hardest be a pro I've ever played and I play on rookie level. I can beat bots on rookie level with whole team 100-0 but with one player I can barely score.
Bro I know same I just moved up to semi pro since I’m newer but damn it’s hard im surprised we won the cup last year and we’re pushing for another one.

ok so i’m trying to unlock new abilities and the only thing it’s saying i have to do is “attempt 5 one timers” im super new to nhl and hockey in general. i figured out how to do a one timer but for some reason it isn’t registering that im doing a one timer. what am i doing wrong?
Hold the right stick down to call for a pass/one-timer and while the puck is on its way to you, press the right stick up toward goal to take a shot. This must be done prior to the puck arriving to you, otherwise it will just be a regular snap shot. You also gotta be careful because you can also body check someone and get an interference call if you don't time it right (or spam up on the stick--don't do that).
Hold L2/LT (faces the net) and hold back on right analogue stick. It essentially calls for a pass, then shoot before the puck reaches you. If you don’t hold L2/LT, you will body check instead
PP is Power Play (when your team is on the PP), PK is Penalty Kill (when your team defends an opposing Power Play), EXT is Extra Attacker (e.g., your team is fouled and the goalie is pulled to send another player onto the ice before the whistle is blown (which happens when the opposing team who committed the foul next touches the puck), and SHT is shootout (your ranking for being chosen to participate in the shootout lineup)
My only real complaint is the computer players on my team are absolutely stupid. The computer team executes plays and steals pucks and picks up loose pucks, the computers on my team let a defender skate through 4 of em without dekes and score, they pass right to the other team, they play like morons. Wish they would fix that.
you need to be standing with you're back to the net, you can do that by holding in L2/LT. If you get the ability ''big tipper'' then that ability will increase the succes rate and the times you do the animation. you also have two tiers on the ability slot, gold and silver, silver will increase it by 50% and the gold by 100%
EDIT: A patch fixed this issue. What is the messaging button? I've looked several places online for its purpose and reason for being greyed out. I played half a season, every game, no sim, but it's never come available. I'm currently in my first year. Any idea? Thanks!
