As both a Flames/Nucks fan, IMO Calgary this is a win for Calgary for sure. With the return Flames got, it gives a lot of potential for the future and also Kuzmenko for the next couple years as either a top6 or potential trade piece next year. If Van somehow manages to win the cup, ofc they will be huge winners too. I don’t like this trade as much from a Van perspective because it’s a straight gamble to win a cup. It was pretty clear that Flames aren’t contending, Lindholm’s contract is about to expire and he needed a change of scenery. To get that much return for those conditions I think is pretty good. If Canucks somehow to win a fucking cup, Deff a great deal for both teams.

Jurmo and hunter are not our best D prospects.... We gave away a late first, a 4th, Kuzmenko (a cap dump, was a healthy scratch for us), Hunter who is playing well in the OHL, but is behind Willander and D petey in our prospect pool. Is probably 4 years out. and Jirmo will probably never make the nhl

Hunter and Jurmo were decent prospects but thats it. Willander and D Petey are gonna be the guys that actually play roles on the defense. Those were gonna be the guys we have in the AHL waiting to get called up. EDIT: Also condition on the 4th is if the Canucks make the WCF, it turns into a 3rd rounder.

Hoglander is the better fit in game but suter is killing on line 2, even getting pp time

they won't break up the lotto line for a double swede line, doesn't make sense. both sides are fairly equal though, hurts a little giving up hunter though.

kuzmenko is a cap dump here and the 4th and jurmo was the cost to dump him as the flames were aking to a good prospect and a 1st for lindholm

Great video not so biases like most. Most videos think its a great trade. Its good for the flames bad for the canucks. But the Canucks dont care about the future as much as they care about now. Would be a shame to get wiped out by Edmonton. But would be nice to see the Oilers win again.

I think Kuzmenko's value here is way too high. He's been scratched a fair few amount of times, I think he'd be more likely at an 82 overall. Also if Canucks keep him, and he's not a rental. This is a great trade for Vancouver.

The 1st round pick we gave up was only a 32nd overall pick though you forgot to mention

Boy is it funny hearing flames fans compare Hunter to Fox. Hes not even signed to a contract. What happened with MT, JG, EL and Fox? They all refused to stay in Calgary. Lost the entire core for nothing. Had to pay a 1st to drop a 0.7ppg center in Monahan. Spinning this as a win is far fetched.

Very unrealistic. A very late 1st has little value. Kuzmenko in real life has zero value. So does the 4th and Jurmo. Only Hunter B has any notable value.
