I got Larkin out of my starter pack. Accidentally ended up trading him in when I did the 50 gold player xf pack. But it worked out bc Larkin isn’t a player I like in real life, haven’t used him enough in HUT to like him, and not someone I’m personally interested in. So essentially we traded Larkin in for Crosby. Huge W! Crosby was my childhood favourite hockey player.
To be fair, you have a lot more time to play. The average person does not have the type of time to put together the not a dollar teams you put together. The time cost to get a good team together is too high for the average player. I'm not complaining for me because i spend money. But when the player base quickly dwindles when a good chunk of them get discouraged by the time costs, they should realize they should not balance the game based on what the career guys can do with the game. I am glad that they remove self sauce and LT half spin ... but i feel like they replace it with nothing the game feel less skill base...and why can we do lacross moves and other complex dekes with a single button ... are we 10 years old ?
I was playing the iifh moment and one of my players got a penalty (all my players where female in the moment) the substitute player was a 6foot 2 dude 😂😂

I have always reserved my judgment for nhl games but I could say for sure that I will quit this game early than expected. The new skill stick sucks. although I can’t criticize EAs intension for making the game feel more authentic they need to think about the time consuming aspect on offline modes. Removing protect the puck should have been only for online mode. People don’t have the mental focus to set up players to score 6 times and retrying and spending hours when this isn’t their life job. I do not give a crap scoring lacrosse goals. Bring back the x button and allow the free tho play base play what we are used too. Why Score 100 goals top right, bottom left corner as if ea give us a bunch of glitch shots. Not
Defense is brutal. Can you put up a tutorial how to use hits correctly? I understand the control but just feels delayed. I agree with your previous comment about the flashing light in the faceoff. It is annoying.
The gamertag under the player instead of the player name is driving me crazy! I spent all night trying to change it to only show the player name, I have no idea who has the puck half the time! Any idea how to do this????
Preorder stuff we don’t get till Friday I believe. Also, in at least the Microsoft store(not sure about PlayStation) there are 500 nhl points that cannot be collected yet, assuming those unlock at global release too.
My Xfactor in my starter pack is the girl from Japan. I'm pretty sure it's the worst possible one in the game. I'm off to a solid start. She's a LD as well so my xfactor objectives ain't getting done any time soon 😔

Im convined not a single person at EA has never played hockey. This is the worst nhl game i think ive ever played. The ai in the moments are moving like no orher human ever. Ive played with ncaa d1 players, tier 2 and 1 players, former pros, everything, and have never seen anything like the way these ai move
How about not doing the hut and just play the other mods hut us pay to win just like all other sports games no more customizing teams and no more classic teams
Agreed. I packed Pasta...thought I could flip it for decent amount coins. It's capped at 35k. I think having cards capped is a good move, but how low is just unfair.
What do you want from me, lol its my job. Everything I do not spending money is completely repeatable and still the best way to do it if you arent spending money or a lot of ttme.

This is my first nhl game that I’m really trying to get in I have just barely played the others… I bought a ps5 just to play this game since it’s not on pc. Any tips for me? I’m not good at the game at all 😂
Thanks for your series, this really helps someone like me, who does not want to spend money but is absolutely blasted away by all the tiles, sets, etc. (haven't seriously played HUT since NHL 15). I also had a good laugh when I opened my first Icon Choice pack and the first pick was Peter Forsberg. So happy. But when the second one was Dominik Hasek, I had to brust out a little laugh 🙂

Just curious. How much time a week do I need to invest to have a decent HUT no dollar spent. I’m a student and don’t have unlimited time and mostly can play on weekend. Is it worth a buy?
@@SleevelessGaming This is the biggest pile of garbage I have ever heard. If you play a couple hours a week, expect to be going up against teams far superior to yours every single game and constantly losing because of it. At MINIMUM you would need to dedicate 10+ hours per week with no money spent to field a team good enough to compete throughout the year unless you are somehow a gaming prodigy and are considered top 5% in every game you play.
@@Matt-wf7ry You are wrong. You can be competitive even if your cards are behind the opponent at least in 2 div. I played few hours a week and was almost in 1 div. At the end of HUT 23 others had cards +99 ovr and my best was 92 ovr still I had over 60% winrate. If I think those cards only matter when playing about TOP100, but there are very few ppl who can really get in there even with grinding every day and having the best team in the hut.
Talk about how skill stick is useless now. There’s no control of the puck to backhand/forehand and wristers. Defense is delayed and you can barely check unless you hit the angle perfectly. Btw thank you the icon challenges are ridiculously hard to score.
This game scoring is awful lol, nah. The guys who have beaten me don’t even know how to deke they sprint down and just shoot to the left and it goes in.
Yeah they completely ruined backhands - who was complaining that backhands would be op. The devs said they wanted to improve hitting but the nerfed it. It's stupidly hard to hit in this game now, and the devs said players who get clicked would be out of the play longer - i got a team full.of truculence and in squad battles the players i crush with hits get up instantly. Not sure if that broken or intentional but it sucl for anyone who enjoys the hitting part of hockey.
