NHL 25 FRANCHISE MODE NEW FEATURES 

Hope you guys enjoyed the video! What new Franchise Mode feature are you most excited for??

All W changes. Only concern is I hope the conversations aren’t super repetitive like previous years. Always having one option give the positive outcome made it boring. This NHL it looks like there will be more conversations than ever before so hopefully they handled it well.

One thing i lowkey wanted like nba franchise mode can be 80 years long , sometime i draft a player 6-7 years after i start and cant see the rest of his career

FINALLY!!! As someone only really interested in Franchise mode it’s great to see so many wish items fulfilled. Now just need that office to decorate the trophy case😅

A TON of positive changes made this year. Way to go EA

I really like all the changes especially the ability to move draft picks outside of franchise mode. Plus having box scores and tracking the players rewards make it so much easier to go deep into franchise mode. A Major improvement over last year

This is the first time ive seen something interesting from gm mode since the trade deadline was added. Huge W FOR NOW, we'll see how it actually plays

They FINALY brought back detailed stats of previous games! A feature that was present in nhl 2002 😅

also with the preferred line up options it makes it way more viable to do a Franchise mode with injuries on. way bigger challenge.

No movement clause is huge, im sick of seeing mackinnon Quinn Hughes and makar etc all leave as unrestricted free agents it’s just so unrealistic

Franchise mode actually looks so nice. I usually grind franchise mode. I am so excited to play. All the improvements are so good, unlike the old ones

i really hope that players ask for realistic salaries. I’m sick of having a 38 year old vet asking for 5m+

Still waiting on historic draft classes and being able to make actual custom draft classes

I love this, I really do. But this feels like Franchise Mode is finally at the minimum expectation based on other sports games. I would have liked some innovation, but this is a good start. Hopefully its not another like 10 years before they address the mode again. Step in the right direction, but I am hoping for more in the coming years. This is enough though, as someone who really only plays and enjoys Franchise Mode, for me to justify buying the game. It might still be a Christmas time buy on discount, but still.

Love the changes. I hope they also make the sims more realistic. Goalies having lower GAA and star players actually simming like star players. Mcdavid getting more than 90 points.

Thank. You. Finally, they make good changes in Franchise mode! Player Game stats, Player Trophies, NMCs and contract specifics is SO great! Even taxes! (big upside to playing in FLA; terrible for Cdn teams). The signing negotiations, too ... ugh. This is the first time I've been excited for GM mode - i didn't even buy NHL24 because I got tired of the lack of the mode improvement

Love the updates, I just wish they would add who got an assist to each goal when you're simming through it, rather than just showing the goals. also, add who took each penalty when a powerplay starts.

I hope they add the contract stuff to BAP. I hate being forced to choose between only 3 teams and at max length. I want 1-2 year contracts to play with different players/teams.

I like the more expansive stat keeping, showing the awards players have won in the past when you look at their stats.

I never EVER thought they'd go this in depth on some of these things, but I'm here for it. I vastly prefer injuries on for immersion and stuff, but I've been playing with them off cause it's so damn annoying. Being able to do that again will be hella fun (now getting depth players matters again).

Love this for the game. I will say, this will slow down franchise mode so much trying to made trades and sign players. Not sure if I like it or hate that, but I do think it was needed.

They took a lot from madden which is a good thing. Looks amazing

The contract interest has been needed for a while. Glad to see it being added. You could literally just offer any player a little bit more than their asking price and they’ll almost always sign with you. This is way more realistic.

It's looking great. EA the last 2 years definitely stepped it up from NHL 22 and 21. I imagine GM connected comes in NHL 26 for sure though.

the new hub reminds me alot of the older games like nhl 15 with the player stats like goals assists points goalies etc

Not sure it's enough to tip the needle for me. I've been saying for years Be a GM Career would be far more challenging than Franchise Mode. Start your career in the CHL/Europe. Harder to build teams with age limits, recruitment to Europe, etc. If you do good, interview for NHL jobs and go from there. Option to tie be a pro into it, where you start your GM career at the end of your NHL career. Idk... The entire Franchise approach does nothing for me. I don't care about upgrading bathrooms, setting promotions, whatever. I think I've toggled it off every time since the year it was announced.

Great video! this has me really hyped towards exploring and creating my own dynasty ! keep up the content! They better have a way to regulate the NMC/NTC protection lists! You can't have computer going crazy giving them out to everyone or all the players requesting them. or that would seriously diminish one of the most fun aspects of the game Trading !! I hope they continue to add & update the conversations throughout the year!

Kinda was hoping for more expansion capabilities (I.e. expand to 34, 36, at different points, etc.) and customization tools (I.e. text around center ice, new logos, jersey designs), but this is a good starting point. I like all the depth they added. Also, the top bar where it shows the player profile pics…the logo placement and overall design is giving me NHL 07 vibes…

Biggest part about the realism is Huberdeau was a -3 in that game against NYI

Menus were already sticky. Now there’ll be loading screens in between menus. Good thing there’s lots of info on home screen

The changes look cool! I think this is a good idea and good direction for gm mode and at this point it was a good idea to skip on gm connected this year and instead improve the game mode. Hopefully, they bring it by next year or the year after.

Its a lot to take in, definitely a lot to do. But so cool we finally have a very cool in depth change

Wow you can see the stats for every game in 2025? Mario soccer did that in 2008. EAs idea of "innovation" never ceases to make me laugh.

Okay, i like no movement clauses as it wirks for olayers on your team. My question is what if you want a player from another team thay has your team on the NMC. Can you offer enough for him to go, or can you talk with the olayer to convince them? I am wondering if this is missed in the video, or doesn't affect you trading for players.

I'll be honest being able to set your own "best lines" and contract clauses are the main things I wanted..excited

I play with injuries off too cause I hate redoing my lines every game. I hate resetting them every season. I wish they kept them locked in heading into next season

I love what they did for offline mode and now. I will pre-order might not be perfect but it's closer to the real thing. Still think there are pieces that they could add to make things more realistic and align with the excitement/time period. I e rookie games, preseason, update the trade deadline, draft etc. let you play games with the players you have on ur watch list

All steps in the right direction. Franchise is going to be fun this year.

One thing that genuinely concerns me is load times. In previous games and other ea sports games, conversions r clunky and laggy. Also jump between screens in games, we have seen lag. Maybe they fixed this…. Or improved the speed of it.

Are we going to be able to finally edit players attributes in franchise mode this year? Or is that still locked like it's always been? Makes zero sense as to why you can edit a players attributes on both MLB and Madden, but not NHL.

Is there an option to turn off no move /trade clauses? Either in the franchise or by editing the contract before starting

Very curious how all of these new contract negotiation features impact the morale function. As someone who always played with morale OFF, I'd prefer to keep it that way, but not lose these new functions coming.

All of that is great. I'm happy they added what they added. But all I ever wanted was for my coach to put the correct line on the ice when required am sick of needing my top line out there, but getting my forth line. Please address this.

Season Mode should also kinda be like it, and have ability to change team amount, high scoring, and edit players Stats during the season I do a Junior League and U16/U14

Overall I really like the changes they made. I’m disappointed to see nothing about the draft and generated prospects. I hope the generated names are a bit better and culturally accurate, and I really hope we get to see the simple addition of generated player faces on the screen rather than the blank silhouettes we’ve seen for who knows how long. It’d also be great if the generated players strategies were fixed (ie every defenseman being pinch/shoot or pinch/cycle). But since none of that was mentioned I doubt we see any of that this year. Something related to that that I am excited for is the option to potentially change players positions. Seeing elite TWFs with high faceoffs that only play wing at the top of the draft is frustrating, but it will be cool to potentially convince them to move to center. And same goes for center snipers/powerforward (which I know you realistically might see in the real NHL occasionally) but but just having the option to change them to the wing is definitely cool to see. I’m actually excited to get my hands on the game and play some franchise mode this year, can’t wait!

Any word on weather on not we can edit hair in Franchise. Can't bare another year with grey or bald rookies.

Love when hockey gets what fifa had for over a decade. Maybe the replays and intros won't be shit eventually. Replays that continue until I stop it. So I can score, then get a snack and the nice goal I scored is still playing. Does nobody else want this in hockey? It's been in fifa since like 2008. SMH. The intermission replays are ok. If you could full screen them it'd be acceptable.

I’m wondering if there is a way to be able to turn clauses off. Insane they added it and it’s awesome but some sims I might wanna be a little less realistic and load up. Also the backgrounds look wayyyy better. Image of the lines screen looks great with the blue

The only thing that's missing now is implementing draft classes

If this all works out properly, it passes 2k for the second best franchise mode imo arguably above MLB if it works really well

I always do a team called the giants as an expansion team and only ever have guys 6'2" or taller so I'd love a way to sort this in player search or trade screens as currently the only place this is located is in draft screens.

for the player stats, would it be their whole career record vs certain teams or just for that seasons, like would there be crosby all time stats vs like detroit
