NHL and MLB Organists Perform "Brass Bonanza" Team Play

Members from the Sports Organist Network and Trade Association (SONATA) got together to play Brass Bonanza (old Hartford Whalers goal/theme song) on various baseball and hockey organs throughout the country.
Organists featured in the video, in order of appearance and team/city affiliation:
Mark Castellanos - Colorado Avalanche (NHL)
Bruce Anderson - Washington Capitals & Wizards (NHL & NBA)
Pete Cannarozzi - New Jersey Devils & Brooklyn Nets (NHL & NBA)
Jeremy Boyer - St. Louis Blues & Cardinals (NHL & MLB)
Gil Imber - Anaheim Ducks (NHL)
Lance Luce - Detroit Red Wings (NHL)
Tabby Barattini - Miami Marlins (MLB)
Dean Rosko - Milwaukee Brewers & Admirals (MLB & AHL)
Ed Alstrom - New York Yankees (MLB)
Paul Cartier - New York Islanders & Yankees (NHL & MLB)

Lance Luce is playing on a specially-built Allen digital theater pipe organ. It was built specially for the Detroit Red Wings and Little Caesar's Arena. It's a pipe organ without the pipes. Reminiscent of the old Chicago Stadium pipe organ.

The fanbase for The Whalers is still very strong here in Connecticut. I still see merchandise being sold at the mall and people wearing jerseys, hats, etc everywhere. I've been a Bruins fan my whole life, but I do miss the rivalry we had with The Whalers.

I hear you. Went to a lot of Whalers games and even the last!! Shame on CT for letting our only PRO team go. I still enjoy hockey at the Civic Center (XL) with the Wolfpack, but it still isn't THE WHALE!!!! Bring back the Whale. I to am a Bruins fan, and really miss the old Adams Division rivalry.

@@silverbeach85 And I'm happy about it. I have no problem with piped-in music, but organ music in arenas is an experience that is unique in sports. Brings that "sportsy" feel into it.
