Some great college players in this game: Larkin, Copp & Compher (Michigan), McAvoy, Shattenkirk & Coyle (BU), Lohrei & Merkulov (Ohio State), Swayman (Maine), Lyon (Yale), Frederic (Wisconsin), Petry (Michigan State), Walman (Providence) and Gostisbehere (Union), and perhaps a few others that I can't recall.

Despite the referees best efforts to help the wings win giving Detroit 6 power plays to the Bruins 0, and Boston with less than 24 hours rest between games, Bruins defeat the Red Wings 5-3-outstanding.

And for the record if you wake up a not be delusional,the real fact why Boston has so much penalties all the time is because that’s how Boston always plays and then there fans whine about it 🤣,very brutal and vicious hits and checks all the time like today on Lyon.and today the red wings were really showing what it feels like to check dirty,so I loved the shove on dirty Marchand.

Not to mention you have the worst depth scoring of any team in the NHL. you have 13 players on a 22 skater roster with 10 or fewer points lol don't you think people are just gonna ride Pasta into the dirt in the playoffs when the whistles go away and suddenly you can't score? Kane would be 7th in scoring on your team and the guy has played 13 games and is 800 years old and coming back from hip surgery

The way boston plays warrants more penalties. They play with a “what can I get away with” mindset. The refs were pretty good tonight honestly. I think there could’ve been more called on either team but for the most part the refs did a good job tonight

I wanna say is because he wasn’t “fully in the crease at impact” and I think lindholm tying his stick up also played a factor into I’m not to sure I’m a wings fan till the day I die but when I was watching the game I was whispering to myself that it wasn’t and good goal and was absolutely shocked when they allowed it

@@kadenmerritt5655 yeah, obviously I'm a Bruins fan, but I thought it was goalie interference as well. I don't think that you can use your stick to keep a goalie from moving just because he is outside the crease though. That ruling didn't make any sense to me at all.

Detroit's draft position is looking better and better for 2024, a strong forward draft. We cannot go any further in growth until we get an apex group of young scorers. Really did we think signing 30+ year olds was going to get us anywhere?

@buzzjohnson-hp6lu Detroit is almost at the same exact souring situation from December 31st 2022. Cannot get how all these signings added up to samo results plus the injuries were not that extreme compared to last season. Maybe the coach is over his head with the game plan. Oh well get us to the top 10 in the NHL draft please.

Eric, Detroit is going to go 8 straight yrs of no playoffs in a league where 50% if teams make it. That means on average Wings should make it every other year. Special kind of suck being Detroit...lol.

Daniels is one of the best PBP guys in the NHL. Much better than even prime Edwards never mind this washed up version. Brickley is way better than Redmond who is near Edwards level bad.

Edwards has gotten quite incoherent, but I will say he is one of the few team announcers I hear that gets passionate about good goals and plays no matter the team. He is very hyped up and energetic even at rival teams scoring on the bruins in the playoffs.

You’ll regret blaming yzerman in the near future,and complaining over a loss where we barely lost and defense was way better tonight than the last 12-13 games lmao. The wings are better the rebuild is over there trying to catch a playoff spot nobody said we’d have high expectations about it,but they really said they are not focused on drafting anymore.And what also makes them better is there like top 3 team in scoring,I mean come on when was the last time you remember the wings in a good offensive spot like that.

That was absolutely goaltender interference. Blue paint or no blue paint the goalie is allowed to attempt a save, and he was not able to because of the opponent’s stick. Zero consistency among the stripes/Toronto

The Red Wings broadcast guys are decent. But decent is 50x better than the garbage we have with Jack Edwards. It was nice to watch Bs highlights without that buffoon gaffawing nonsensically.
