Nick Suzuki scored his 29th goal of the season and Samuel Montembeault was near flawless in net with 27 saves as the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Colorado Avalanche 2-1 to bring an end to their nine-game winning streak.
No kidding, don’t they pay overtime at sports net? Has be put together and posted before the shift is over😂 not sure what they would’ve done if it had been a high scoring third period……made it a bit longer 😂
cause of the different time zone So they did most of the video before the game even finish and add the little 1min for the third period since it didn't change the result
Montembeault defeated one of the best and hottest teams in the league for 59 minutes and 17 seconds. The last time the Habs beat the Avs in Denver was on 2014/12/01. The goal scorers that night were Jiri Sekac, who was traded to the Ducks for Devante Smith-Pelly (Scarborough Native) two months later on the 24th, Markov, Subban, and Pacioretty. Flyers tomorrow night at the Bell Centre.
They're already not making the playoffs. The future would be bright if they actually concentrated on losing every game so they can get a top draft pick. but no they'll do everything they can to finish 7 or 8 worst in order to get nothing and suck just as bad the next season. Habs ladies and gentlemen
@@manny_freah5148You realize we already have solid prospects coming up, right? Our top six next season is going to be stellar. Caufield - Suzuki - Slafkovsky Newhook - Dach - Roy And we still have guys like Farrell and Beck who can be solid bottom six producers. Our defence is looking good too. Hutson and Mailloux will both be coming up soon, and we have enough defence prospects that we could trade guys like Harris or Barron, as much as I like Harris. Besides, the habs will probably get another top 5 pick in this draft, high enough to draft an impact forward
With a new healthy roster next year, this team is for real. Monty coming up huge, that first line is absolutely buzzing, our D pairs have looked great, etc. Big statement win in their barn
@@barryallen5313 we could use some size, but speed and talent kill. Just look at the Avs for instance. They don’t really have anyone big back there except Johnson and maybe Toews? But they’re all exceptionally good skaters. I’m not saying we just need a bunch of makars back there but it works.
Imagine having a 10 minute game highlights, and only including the first 4 seconds and the last 4 seconds of the third period , While spending 7 minutes on the 1st period, Way to go, Gary
@@HunterMagunter and add lane hutson, logan mailloux, reinbacher and owen beck with a possibility of filip mesar. Our prospect list is something to be feared.
As an Avs fan that went to the game, well deserved habs avs played super sloppy in the 2nd and most of the 3rd. Habs defense was great against avs top line and when avs didnt have their top line they were just turning over the puck. Ggs Montreal. Honestly just glad Mackinnon kept his home point streak alive
What a game by the Canadiens last night! Especially by Sam Montembeault, he was fabulous in goal . Even though it was low scoring, only a 2-1 game, it was a fast paced and well played game by both teams! A fun game to watch! Welcome back MSL! 👍 my opinion 🦂
I was expecting this ngl. Streaks always have to end somewhere, at least Nate still has his going! The puck luck was against the Avs tonight and of course a sub par goalie decides to remember how to make saves. Annunen was probably a little too jittery from his signing deal, probably should have had Georgie in net. Yes, I’m aware the Avs had a couple power play opportunities, but it just felt like this was their off game, every team has a game where they just don’t try. I can already hear the haters screaming “tHe ReFs TrIeD tO hElP” but they were just calling blatant penalties is all. Rest up, get the next one Avs!
I'm starting to feel like the CH is preparing for big games and just play "casualy" the lowers teams. So in that way they build on teaching with the top teams with CH young players. I'm sure that Montreal will have a really strong team in 3-4 years. A lot of bad contract also expire by then
Nick Suzuki and the Montreal Canadiens win over Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche 2-1 🏒🔴🔵⚪🇨🇦 Montreal Canadiens went up to 27-32-12, while the Colorado Avalanche move to 46-21-5
The virtual ads on the ice are ridiculous, it's such an eyesore to look at, they started with the boards now it's on the ice... what is next putting ads on the puck or what ? gtfoh
Someone has to fix this highlight algorithm. Seems like its getting worse every game. 7 mins in 1st period, 2.5 in second and 15 seconds in the third. Every game highlight seems to be at least 50% first period every time.
"Will that be their 26th comeback of the season?" The fact the 3rd period is starting and there's barely 20 seconds left to the highlights, excluding the outro... I'll guess no, it isn't.
Not gonna lie after Mack got his point to extend his streak I didn't care about the result lol hats off to the Habs, really well executed game plan to just clog everything up and slow the game way down. Really well coached team
@@michaelangst6078 why so salty? why should I care about a random loss in a meaningless game after ripping off 9 games in a row. It's hockey, random losses happen, no biggie
It’s crazy how biased the American announcers are.. doesn’t show in this video as they took out most of it. I was switching between channels. And our Montreal announcers only ever praise good plays regardless of team.
@@soulknife20 I can also tell you why they didn’t show the third because the avs had a high sticking penalty double minor against Gallagher. Didn’t look good on Colorado. If it was Montreal it would of been in the video hands down.
I know. Are people blind? He hurts the team more than he helps this team. -28 . The first goal tonight was a giveaway from him and a casual back check. It's like spotting the other teams a goal a game.
Well you should hear the the aftershow. They sounded like sore losers. Sorry to say that, but that wasnt very pretty or professional by the commentators.
