I appreciate McDavid calling out Hyman and Kane for their good efforts there too. That was a terrible play by Schmid but not sure what he could do at that point as no one was in front of the net really. Oops

As a former season ticket holder, I moved to Raincouver after the Oilers 4th Cup. Took me about 30 years, here, to finally start cheering for the Canucks. Regardless, the Oil will always be my favourite team.

@eggrolll I've been a life long fan through the darkest of times. And I watched those games... but this season, to start, I couldn't watch. It was atrocious. With the talent edmonton has, being hard on them was the only thing that made sense. The start of this season was ABYSMAL....😮

I knew this game was over for the devils when I saw McDavid throwing solid hits out on the ice😅... and that he's now fully healthy. Nurse was GREAT yet again... 8 blocked shots. Jean Luc Pickard played great... I trust hom as the backup. Bouch-BOMB!!

What I like about the last 2 games is lower shots on goal allowed. Goalies are standing their ground, too. The Oilers simply attacking at all cylinders. The goalies kept their teams in.

@@ryans413 Yup. They remind me of my 1992-2018 favorite team: the Sens. And at present, they remind me a LOT of the Senators' run to the playoffs in 2015, with Andrew Hammond in net. Longer road for the Oilers here, but if anyone can come out of nowhere and get it done, the Oilers can!

People gotta stop bashing Bouchard so damn hard. The first good puck moving dman we have had in over a decade. He is lethal offensively and while he does have his defensive blunders, he statistically is above average defensively. This team is so back

Great 4th line effort. Even if you don't score keep the pressure going. Good patience by Nuge and Drai. Bouch badda bing. Hyman and Kane give a gift of a goal to McDavid. McDavid does McDavid things. Great performance by Pickard.

Whole team played very disciplined DEFENCE. Pickard looks like an NHL goalie. He has BOTH regular season AND NHL playoff experience. He is a year younger and 1/5 the cost of Campbell.......So what now Mr.Holland? Try and package Campbell/Broberg?

@@barstar888 He needs to shut up his agent, put his head down & earn his place. Some of these one-time, high 1st round picks believe their shelf life priorities last indefinitely. He’s been passed over by a number of comparatively LOWLY chosen teammates. You’d think he’d learn & earn? I’ve witnessed this scenario for decades. He doesn’t offer the kind of attributes this team requires right now…as a 5-6 depth d-man. Not physical enough, lacking defensive maturity. We don’t have the luxury, especially playing catch-up, after that disastrous start. It’s about the TEAM. You don’t think Holland’s trying to move Campbell & Broberg. Every GM in the league knows…

Ever since they lost to the Sharks (which was a month ago!), they haven't scored less than 3 in a game. Losing so much early on pissed them off and they channeled their rage into an offense I can only compare to a firing squad! If their goaltending remains consistent, they may never lose another game again!

My dad was telling me that backcin the day, Montreal approach was just to always have the puck and control offense, as they had no defense. I could see people passing in circles and that was without ability to 2.line pass.. I feel like it's rage too. McDavids become way more.physical. I wanna see some Nuge rage hits next game lol😅

Nuge was in my personal doghouse for years, until his phenomonal, 104 point, breakout season! Not many players do that after 11-12 seasons, eclipsing their personal best by such a margin. But he was showing WAY more tenacity, going to hard, tougher areas with confidence & intent! It disappeared, once again, in the playoffs...the man has all kinds of skill & class, just get your nose dirty & grind ‼️

I was at this game, and lost a lot of respect for Jack Hughes while watching it. He draws two calls because he throws himself around like he just got shot by a sniper from the upper bowl. A third time he dove and it almost cost them a goal. I know a lot of hockey fans like to complain that McDavid cries for calls, but Hughes looked like he was taking pointers from James Harden out there. Just gross

Edmonton isn't a playoff team yet, there is a lot of work to be done. Just like Montreal and Toronto, it's about taking that extra micro second and not panicking in the defensive zone. Just don't read the description until after you watch the video. It is way worse when some youtube channels show the score in the title, because you can't avoid seeing it, even before you click on the thumbnail.

Oilers are either the best or worst team in the league, My team since 79. I used to have to put tin foil on the rabbit ears to see a good picture for the oiler games.

Totally agree with you there. It's been an emotional time being an oilers fan. My first memories with my dad was seeing the oilers hoist the cup in 87 or 88.(probably thr latter). Named my cat Stanley in 2006, got him on game 7 🥹😭 rip It's going to be a bumpy road for us the next few years so buckle up everyone!
