What a difference a year makes. Jake debrusk seemed like his time with the bruins would come to an end last year. Now he not only scored 2 goals in the winter classic but game up huge in the final minutes! So glad he’s staying with the bruins for a little while longer

As a Bruins fan if you told me this time last year at this time that DeBrusk would score 2 in the winter classic for us I’d think you’re crazy. I’m happily surprised by his turnaround
What a great hockey game on the outdoor rink. That takes me back to childhood days playing on the outdoor rink in Hartland, New Brunswick, Canada. Lots of fun.
@@andrewg8095 most outdoor games are boring because spoiled rich kids (90+ % of the players) never played outdoors as kids and don't know what wind is, they were transported from and to the arenas in tinted glass SUVs already as 5 year olds
The Winter Classic is great for the sport. I enjoy watching every year. Especially when my Bruins play. And double especially when we win like today. GO BRUINS!!!! Ullmark for Vezina! Montgomery for COY!

@@anordman9659 Funny thing is in the few games I saw him with the Sabres I didn't like him. Then he got off to a slow staet and I screamed at Sweeney for giving him the big contract. Now Ullmark is easily the Bruins MVP and if they win the Cup it will be because he carried them.
@@johnbrowne3950 Ullmark played behind the worst D in the entire NHL. He made some crazy saves and stole 5-7 games every year going full Hasek mode. People here still dont understand how good he was. I think the Bruins have every chance to go all the way. I actually thought it would be a steady decline from last year.
Random observation: these game highlights on Sportsnet seem to always show the opening faceoff of the 2nd and 3rd periods, but never the game's opening faceoff (which would be the one that would make the most sense to show). Anyone know why?
Sportsnet may not show the opening faceoff, but they DO usually show the fights, where other highlights do not. Fights tell the story of how the game was played. I like them for that.
@The Truth Hurts Fighting can be called as a penalty, which obviously leads to a power play. If there going to show trips, high sticks, etc. in the highlights, they should show at least a few seconds of the fights. Also, fights are more than just watching people fighting or bleeding. There a measure of how physical the game was played. If I saw the actual game, I wouldn't necessarily care about what they put in the highlights. But if I didn't see the game for whatever reason, and I wanted to get more than just the final score, I would watch the highlights. And I would expect them to give me a sense of how the game was played.

How did the NHL think that two teams with matching colors was acceptable? The penguins simply HAD to wear light blue today.......I had to keep reminding myself which team was which....
Penguins have completely collapsed… again. They can’t put a full 60 minute game together. They just can’t. The same thing every single game, yet no matter what the next game they do it again. They go a handful of games where they score like crazy, but other than that they just do not know how to score on a goalie… they either miss or shoot right at the legs and chest. There could be a traffic cone in as goalie and they’d either hit that cone or the post. It’s absolutely unreal how much this team has fallen apart since last month
Need to trade for some good defensemen! That why opponents are getting good scoring chances at the goal! When we the defensemen we need Crosby & Malkin can be more effective on offensive side
10 of the next 14 for the Bruins are on the road, so that by the time February 1st rolls around, they'll be almost back to even between home and road games.
Bruins 22 home games. 9 other teams have played 20+ home games not sure why people seem to think the Bruins have played 10 more home games than everyone
@@gambinom5967 it looked like it went in at the exact same time the buzzer went off to me but maybe I’m wrong I think when the puck left the stick should also be considered cause if he shot before the buzzer went off and it went it it should still count in my opinion
