Concerning ? nope, he's just a good athlete :P .....with 10 eyes instead of 2. Seriously, he is the best playmaker / puck protector / puck recoveror / passer / PP shooter in hockey....and that's quite abit of categories to go #2 much less #3 in best player in our fine era.
Nobody argue about McDavid but Draisaitl is there right next to him. Not behind. WIth McDavids god speed it's easy to rank him higher but at the end of the night they accomplish great things together. I don't cheer for Edmonton but at the end of McDavids career I wish he can hoist a cup just as Ovechkin got to do after all those years for the Caps because that's the final mark of accomplishment as a player and ALOT of hall of famers that deserved a cup never got it. And doing it for the team that drafted you is quite something special.
I sure hope this kid can stay healthy and have a long career in NHL. However, with the ice time he plays, it's going to take its toll in time. If he has a long career, he should end up owning the NHL goal scoring title no matter what it is at the time he breaks it. However, it will also have a LOT to do with the team as a whole and who is linemates are over that career. Sure hope he isn't injured when Oilers play the Canes in February as I have a ticket for that game and will be traveling to see him/game :)
I did say goal scoring and I did mean scoring title for total points. Agree, would be tough because he would have to score at least 40 goals a year if not more and play till 45 to potentially be highest goal scorer. He does have 203 goals already. So you can't count this kid out yet for most goals, at least not at this point.
That’s the most fired up I’ve been in a long time😂 What an insane game!! Great comeback victory for the boys, and McDavid’s goal was absolutely incredible!!!
It seems like McDavid wants to get the Art Ross, Hart and Rocket. His biggest rival? Leon Draisaitl who also wants to get the Art Ross, Hart and Rocket.
I'm a diehard Leaf's fan..... and can still recognize who the best player on the planet is. And if ANYBODY needs to be ..."reminded".. that McDavid is the Best Player, they must have some serious short-term memory loss, because the man has been playing like a "GOAT" for the last 3 years.!! He may not be able to claim the title of GOAT quite yet at this stage of his career, but even his starchest haters have to admit he has all the talent and ingredients.... of a "Greatest of all time" player. Will he need to win the Stanley Cup to be able to claim such status?? In my opinion, Yes. Idk how any Superstar of any particular sport... can be deemed the Greatest of all time, without carrying his team to at LEAST one championship. But let's be honest here, McDavid will win the Cup eventually, especially now with the signings of Hyman ( and as a Leafs fan😔 I can attest to How AWESOME Hyman is ) as well as Veteran D-man Keith. Tbh ... I'm jealous of the team you guys can put on the ice night after night. But unlike a lot of Leaf fans, I also love Edmonton and would cheer for them against any team( other than my Leafs..😏 ) You guys got a real good chance to do something special this year... Good luck.👍👍
Leon has 11 points in his last 4 games....UNREAL. It's criminal how overlooked he is in the mainstream hockey media. He's off the charts, right there with McDavid, he's the better all round player if you can believe that. Love Leon!
Are you kidding? 😂😂 Hahah I slammed my phone on my coffee table and had my hands on my head, just speechless at what I had just witnessed. I had $5 on oilers winning tonight. McDavids really THAT guy.
Oilers are different this season… they have that extra mojo.. I like it (coming from a leafs fan)… honestly at this point I’d be happy to see any Canadian team win something lol
As a Rangers fan, I am frustrated my team manages to give up large leads, but at the same time I have to give respect to the Oilers this game. McDavid is a beast and no one can deny that play was mind-blowing to watch. Great game to watch, we'll get you next time.
McDavid & Drai are playing hockey in the f’in Matrix right now. Their ability to know where the other is at all times is insane. And that goal? At *that* point in the game?? Legendary stuff 👌🏼
What a comeback. Something legitimately feels different about this team. Our offense is absolutely overpowering. The Rangers are a good team and when the Oilers turned it on they had literally no chance. What a game
eh, the Rangers had a chance, but that was only because of some serious brainfreeze by Keith / Koski on the 0:1 after the Lowe's number retirement stuff excitement (shich was legit in every way, but still)
@@BlackMasakari No they didn't. The Oilers out shot them 17-3 in the 3rd and OT. They were utterly dominated after Pully's first PP goal. The Oilers didn't even start playing until after that goal, they were still asleep from the ceremony
@@Nic_Garscum well, they still should've started better, but...as i said...Lowe's retirement jersey was a big thing. That check from Koski against the ranger says it all, highlty motivated, but lost his tick doing it :D
@@GyroLamb i'm not a rivalry dude, i don't understand this "no.1 bs" or "canada's team" Canada got 6 clubs in the NHL ? or 7 ? They are all canada's team,.rofl. And also not, cause national unity, even in hockey is sadly far out of reach let alone worldwide unity in friendship and peace.
One of the best games of hockey I've ever seen, was mad they missed the first on live tv but the rest was a rollercoaster!!, omgosh at it all. The goal of the year McDavid. Best goal I think I've ever witnessed hands down hands up all around!, Love the fire our guys got, not giving up or folding over after being down. Let's gooooooo Oilers!.
It's not like the actual quality of hockey that was played which was exceptional, both teams had lapses and whatnot, but it was one of the most entertaining games I've ever watched in terms of eb and flow, emotional turnarounds, fighting back and forth. Was unreal!
Understandable everyone is talking about the McDavid goal because it is definitely goal of the year so far, but I would like to point out that the thumbnail has the Sens logo behind the Rangers logo.
I know we are only 10 games in and it’s just a regular season game and this doesn’t matter until a team wins the cup BUT this is exciting hockey no matter what anyone says.
With that defense and goaltending? Forget it. They flash a lot and easily have two top 5 players regardless of position (maybe the top 2) but they aren't built for the playoffs
The oilers doing the same exact thing as last year. Mike Smith is injured the play the hell out of Koskinen he starts getting tired and starts playing worse and then people start hating him. Like next game if Smith doesn’t come back I don’t see why Stuart skinner doesn’t start.
These games are here to remind us that this is supposed to be entertainment, not just a source of horrible depression. That's what the playoffs are for.
I live in Ottawa watched and cheered for 30 years in the last couple years I’ve watched all of the oilers games they are way more exiting to watch just makes for long nights when I need to wait till 10pm E.T. Lol
~everyone was commenting that the big guns on this team were asleep for the most part and Connor and L.D. still end up with 3 points..... a bit comical how Connor's goal even had 2 assists attached as he handled the puck for like 10 seconds and created the entire opportunity single handedly.
Lmao, here come the analytics nerds! I swear people underestimate what it means to give McDavid and Draisaitl players they actually want on the team. Nurse might be an overpay a lot of nights, but he's one of Connors best friends, and I don't know how you put a price on that.
6:13 Georgiev, you could see it in his eyes he was like, HOW?DID THAT JUST HAPPEN? But still great game oilers can't wait to see Steve's reaction to that
not sure if it was more of a Rangers meltdown, or sheer determination by the Oilers. McDavid certainly willed that tying goal in, burning 4 rangers skaters and the goalie.
