Imagine my disappointment when I went to buy the “if you’re a goal tender sometimes things don’t go your way but as long as you try your best it’s fine!” Shirt only to find it doesn’t exist.
As a goaltender, I would really like the t-shirt that says “as a goaltender sometimes you tend the goal but things still don’t work out but if you tried your best…”

The biggest dang-it of 2021 - in Producer Drew's eyes - is incredibly painful, as a Pens fan. I said it back in May, and I'll say it again: TRISTAN JARRY, WHAT ON EARTH WERE YOU THINKING?!
As a Penguins fan for over a decade I never seen a goal being allowed like that, Especially in a big game scenario in a playoff series. To this very day, I still can’t believe that happened! What was he thinking!?
He wasn't thinking, he was a young goaltender in his first big pressure situation in the playoffs, dumb stuff like that'll happen when you're feeling the heat
The Panarin/Wilson intercation would likely be demonetized as well. It was violent, dangerous and unnecessary from Wilson (and foolish from Panarin, but he'd been under very high pressure off the ice). The drama in the Rangers front office that followed, however, was indeed worthy of a Dang-It. Montréal certainly started to reap some benefits from it (by hiring Gorton). Time will tell where that leads.

Lol #1 was rightfully given to the biggest dang it for sure. I think everyone has the same reaction along the lines of "jarry noooo " and "what the hell was he thinking"

I remember a play in a Bruins game where a player on the opposing team (Blackhawks maybe?) broke his stick, and threw one of the pieces carelessly and it went over the boards. The refs gave him and his team a penalty, then at the next stoppage they allowed the other team to be even strength because the guy didn't mean to throw the stick over the boards and didn't know it wasn't allowed. Their logic was that he should be punished for his wrongdoing but the team shouldn't be. There's an example of a penalty being erased part way through
Something similar happened in 2005 to Mats Sundin. He threw the stick over the crowd and didn't get penalized. The league suspended him for 1 game. Also in, like, 2016, when Steven Stamkos got a misconduct for throwing the stick into the crowd.
I was at the game when Panarin threw his glove at Marchand, It was the thanksgiving game lol XD. The real dangit was I was in the bathroom at the time :p
Was always proud of Panarin for speaking truthfully about the political situation in Russia. Especially being a public figure from there. He has a lot of eyes on him. Ballsy move. Just glad his family is okay.
Agree with you. I think it was just an editing decision to have some space between that and the Jarry play - like not putting back to back slow songs on a playlist. As a fan of none of those teams, the pens one was worse. With Fleury it kind of happened TO him. With Jarry, it happened BY him
Congratulations for your great work. I enjoy every Dangit video that you make. I am just surprised that the referee Chris Lee is not part of that Top-14-15. His work during the series between Montreal & Vegas was really bad.
29:18 the fact that that goal didn't get called back is dumbfounding when they seem to call so many goals back when the guy is hardly an inch over the blue-line, particularly against the Oilers this happens a lot, more than what I personally feel should be considered acceptable.
As a low tier, 43 year old, beer league, roller hockey goalie; I'm am guilty of all of these goalie "dang it"s. This always makes me smile a little because I know how it feels.
That was 3 years ago (I think) and I was there too. They thought they scored an Ot winner, but the clock had run out. They celebrated then lost in a SO. As a hawks fan it was so funny

As a goalie, I can tell ya we are a strange bunch. That David Rittich headbutt seemed normal to me. Headbutting each other was a sacred pregame ritual for me and my friend
Only thing I really felt was missing, as many others have said, was the Tom Wilson vs. NYR bullhockey, but I also get it if they didn't want to beat that dead horse. Still, feels like it holds the crown of "Dang-it #0" to me to that end; we all know the truest dang it of the year, aside from these 14.5, is that one. It holds the unspoken crown. I mean... when you get a team like the Rangers to a point to have to speak out against the league and you yourself can make more than half a dang its video talking about it, that tops any whiffed call from the refs, any own goals, and any goaltenders who DON'T TEND THE GOAL! All that aside, great content as always, and looking forward to a wonderful 2022 watching some good ol Steve Dangle content 🙂
if you play hockey at any level, you have probably committed one or two of these kinds of mistakes/dang its, i know i have. ok well not the biting thing, but the rest of the goalie ones anyways. the only difference is when it happens to us we break sticks, someone else we laugh our asses off. omg yes the Jarry dang it I was getting worried it wasn't in the video, it's my favorite dang it of the year maybe even all time (besides Tampa getting swept in 2019) and it's the number one dang it I love it!
the Isles really do either bring out the worst of other teams or get blessings from Hockey gods. Examples: How the hell did Brayden point get Goaltender interference Jeremy Lauzon's unfortunate pass that led to an OT winner feel free to add on to the Islanders immunity of....suck
