I do not agree with you when you said you give oxygen to a woman with feral bradycardia? Where did you train , giving maternal oxygen will not improve the bradycardia . Go and research more before you mislead everyone , where did you train , as a midwife I am embarrassed by what you are saying .

Well done, thank you for weighing in your opinion, that video was posted in august 2022, don’t forget research updates are always ongoing and what seems right yesterday maybe wrong today. I was trained in Nigeria and yes until I left in 2022, we give oxygen to mom in case of bradycardia which most of the time it helps. The explanation being that, fetal bradycardia occurs as a result of low or no oxygen supply to the Festus through the placenta, given oxygen to mom increases the mother saturation levels which directly/indirectly influences supply to the baby. It’s also mostly associated with maternal dehydration especially when she’s been in labour for a hours and contracting and that’s why it given with IVF to hydrate mom. If your trust/hospital or organisation doesn’t do that, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. I’m currently practicing in the UK and yes I haven’t seen them given O2 for fetal bradycardia and even IVFluids are currently controversial though still in practice, but some consultants do not support it Rather we address the course of the bradycardia, and bradycardia is even classified so the gravity influences what action you will take. The first part of your comments are amazing and I love your opinion!

If you don't agree, this is not the way to approach it, and she is not misleading anyone. If she teaches, the best thing for you is to go and do your research, please just appreciate her effort and know how to correct thnx ❤

In your management of pph I didn't hear examination of placenta for completeness because a lobe or a torn membrane can cause uterine atony

Yea, that’s absolutely correct Thank you for the observation, I forgot to mention that And that’s exactly why it’s team work here They believe someone can forget something bcs we’re human, however, we’re less likely to forget as a time

Please may I know what the obstetrician , anaesthetist and social worker does because in Ghana most of the time midwives manage PPH even to the point of cervical suturing if it's the cause .....please will be very grateful if I know what the role of the obstetrician and anaesthetist is in the outside world

They do team work here, Anaesthetic ensure airway is open and give analgesics as required Obstetrician presents incase the patient have to go the theatre where she will be examined under good light source Social worker engage the families and the patients for psychological supports… Portal send blood samples to the lab and run other errands Scribe write down all activities including medications given with time each was administered in a paper Other supports workers are there to help as well In the event of emergency, everybody is important and anyone can suggest what they think should be done In the team, no superior, it’s team work but their is always a leader who take charge of the activities and delegates/assign someone to task
