i know this is an old video but i have to say this if your playing an rpg that uses a dual combat system like this you use the friggen person your used to using and obviously Ethster is the support if she has a harp that can heal you and a healing familiar so she should be the one in charge of keeping you alive not the attacker cause thats what he set Oliver up to be

Basic tip in Tactics for any RPG: Point A) Let them do as they please ALWAYS, no specific orders or otherwise they AI acts like an idiot. Point B) Get the "attack the weaker" enemy or "attack the same enemy" options in order to crush the enemies more efficiently and reduce the damage they take. Probably attacking the same enemy is the best option since in a lot of RPGs the order matters.

I like that Martyn says awesomesauce. I used to say it years ago. It's such a fun word.

Well, Rashaad had a soul mate, and he's a wizard/sage.I think it's like Martyn said in one of the first videos. "Yes, everybody has a soul mate. And coincidentally, out of the entire planet, they all live in your town." (It went something like that) Maybe Oliver's soul mate just so happens to be moving about at the same speed as Ollie, but on the opposite side of the planet. Just a thought. You could be right though. I think it'll probably come up at some point in the game. Cheers!

yeah you are probably right... it would sure could make something cool out of it... i kinda hope it does since i got the game myself and can´t wait to see IF there is a soulmate...

The game doesn't screw you over. Don't be afraid to swap familiars around and play as other characters besides Oliver. If you change Ollie's tactics appropriately and get a couple levels ahead of the average bloke in each region then he can actually hold his own pretty well.

Martyn the reason Ollie didn't heal himself is because when you went to the tactics page you made it so Esther heals you and herself when you play as Ollie but when you play as esther Ollie is giving it his all

Ding! Congrats on Lv. 12 Oliver! Ding! Congrats on Lv. 10 Sappy! I myself failed several times during the final third of the Trial of Friendship. And while I don't think I took as long during the Trial of Wits, then again I did have a guide on hand (that may count as cheating, but I didn't use it during said Friendship trial). And I love the tales of wonder as well. ^_^

So I dont know if anyone noticed, but the name of the great sage is 'Solomon'....that was the name of the head sage in Howl's Moving Castle, except she was female and she was evil :p

it isn't revealed until later, but really anyone wjo knows the ins-and-outs of studio ghibli and level 5 stories (and to an extent old-school JRPGs) could make an 'educated guess'. it's also easy to make the 'Pea=white witch', such as similar hair color, no one being able to see her, no one even knowing about the white witch at this point in the game even.

I think the darkjin or shadar is Ollie's sole mate because they both have huge magic connections and at the end when he kills her he dies too

haven't you noticed? the insignia on umbompuh or whatsit is the same as the floor tile crest thing, and i bet you have to fight him too. and afterward you can use those tiles to get anywhere in the world you've already been with one. ding for sappy, and only sappy, cause i like sappy best.

i wouldn't think so because he is the chosen one and he can change between worlds and if he bumps into his soulmate their might cause a ripple in time.

You can also hand Sappy over to Esther and make her the healer of the group, the game seems to want you to do this because her and her familiar have healing abilities.

He dosnt have one, he came from this world and went into the other one...

He died straight away because he wasnt FULLY HEALED FROM THE LAST BOSS BATTLE!!!

whenever you get a new familiar for Esther, the end of the name should have "ogo" to keep the trend onward Example: Pogo or whatever else

The person like Ollie I think is like Shadar because well they are opposites Ollie - Pure Hearted Shadar - Creator of broken Hearted. Kinda hard to believe (I don't know anything about the game so don't like tell me with spoilers)

I think you should switch Ollie's tactics to going all out on the enemy because of his familiars. They're much more offensive and their itemization is way more offensive. Have Esther keep you healthy and you can control Ollie if you want. Just change the tactics around a bit and you'll be fine

My Guess: Shadar = Boss fight consisting of dodging attacks blocking attacks and getting in a attack where possible Boss fights are always like that
