Journey back to the other world in Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. LEVEL-5’s classic tale returns on the go with Nintendo Switch. It doesn’t just “look” like Ghibli. They had actual Ghibli artists for the animations and Joe Hisashi doing the music. One of the best RPGs in the PS3 library, so good to have it again, this time for the Switch. Day one purchase for sure.

Cameron Finnis I think the sequel had a lot to live up to. It didn’t suck me in like this game did, put it that way. This is in my top 20 RPG’s list along with Dragon Quest “echoes of and elusive age” btw that game is even better than this one. Although world map is slightly more linear.

The extensive RPG gameplay elements from Final Fantasy. The dual worlds from Persona. The raising of monsters from Pokemon. The world building from Legend of Zelda. Oh yes same. I’ve waited years to play this game because apparently PS4 doesn’t have backwards compatibility and I’m not willing to spend $40 for it on PlayStation. But since it’s coming to the switch I’m totally fine with it cause I can play it everywhere.

Matt M. PS4 eShop. Like I said, PS4 doesn’t have backwards compatibility for disks. Since I don’t have a PS3, the eShop was my only option. Last time I checked it was $40.

Ni No Kuni 2 was amazing, and I heard the first was even better. So this re-release of the first Ni No Kuni is definitely worth buying I’d say. The battle system is better than XC2 (never played the first xenoblade).

Same here too! I found out there was a 3DS port that came out in Japan. But sadly the 3DS is region locked. No pc, PS3 or PS4. I outta luck until this came along. Emulation is a big NO for me unless it's official and besides I like collecting physical games.

One of my favorite games of all time. If you love LONG games this is it right here. Music and animation is incredible. Characters are distinct and fleshed out. Combat system is fun and provides a lot of options. Story will make you sob like a baby. 11/10 buy and play this game when you can

This is a straight up port from the PS3 version, not a remaster like the other versions. Wish it was. Not sure why they didn't remaster this to 1080p since the switch can handle it 🤔 None the less am still excited and happy it came to the switch!

I doubt the second installment will come as the Switch doesn't have the hardware for it. The Xbox and PS4 are getting a remake, with better graphics, but the Switch isn't, as it can't handle that. Ni No Kuni is still an amazing game, and if you want Ni No Kuni 2, it is on Steam.

Children will definitely like this one. This game carries that kids friendly vibe, yet is a mature enough tale and experience for anyone to enjoy. They did a perfect job of fusing all the general RPG dreams into one. Both the writers and animators did a SUPERB job. The lore within the game.. That Ni No Kuni Magic Masters book.. Edit - I don't think that I can accurately define/ word it all.

this game is such joy and warmth. its like playing a childhood fairytale. youll have to adjust to the gameplay when you start but you can have fun with it once you get into it. it really is a wonder to experience. nnk2 lost that magic.
