The vertical boards were sprung out at the top because of the flat top board. If the bottom and center board had been horizontal the vertical boards would have been straight. Look at how the vertical boards are the top plate.
I think they are upgrading fence planks if not there is no other logical reason or they are taking a easy way for removal of planks in stead of a bunch of nails laying everywhere
He’s not cutting it too low people. The top rail is t shaped and the bottom rail is 2-2x6’s sandwiched around osb making it a very strong beam and since the top rail is t shape there’s a fence on the other side so nobody has the back of the fence yard calm down about the top cut because he’ll come back with a trim piece hiding the cut and locking the fence top in. It’s a production type fence for if you’re paid by the foot each day you come up with a simple but sturdy design and all you have to do is dig a hole for the run and shoot two parallel lines

I don’t think any of you looked at the way the fence was constructed, there’s a backer rail below the top rail that they want to make the fence seamless for that style of fence.
So then, won't you please explain to me, how is it covered by the top broad? The top rail is next to it, not on top of it. I take it you work with these illegals?
Having done fencing professionally, this was pretty cool and saves time on this type of fence build. The bottoms are nailed first, the tops stick up and are not nailed yet. When hes finished, he will come hack nail the tops and add a piece of trim horizontally along the top when they are finished.
Because that is what the home owner ask for. No way would he be adding the extry labor had it not been requested by the person requested it and paying for his esrvice.
I agree, to me, the fence looked better before it was trimmed however it’s not my fence and I bet the customer was extremely happy with a job well done😎
1) There must be a fence height restriction. 2) He had better be putting a piece of trim under that t-rail on top because that huge gap looks like shit.
Normally, you would cut the bottom of the board to maintain the dog-eared finish at the top, but this is a picture frame fence, so there will be a finishing board placed on top.

Look at it more closely. It goes under the top plate. They put the em on long with the tops bowing out. Watch as he cuts, the cut fence boards straighten out to be under the top plate. You can disagree on which looks better, but the top plate is objectively better for the lasting longer. The top of the fence boards is end grain, which soaks up water and leads to damage over the long term. Covering the end grain will make the fence last much much longer.

There maybe many reasons to cut it down, but I can't understand why they didn't leave it like 75mm (3") longer to keep the top stringer covered? Looks to me many mistakes probably got made on this job
А ни кто не заметил, что забором ограждают рабочую зону ? А доску на забор видимо закупили такой конфигурации. А для рабочей зоны, декор не нужен и забор должен быть типовым. Может по этому и делает обрезку. А ещё и рабочие с своеобразным мышление , по поводу красоты забора....😅 У меня других мыслей нет......😅
