This is what I call a playoff format. If it wasn't about favoritism/bias with D1 CFP, the fans would get a real Conference Champion vs Conference champion playoff format .

I would pay more attention to FCS football but my State doesn't have a FCS team (I live in Michigan and Detroit Mercy and Oakland doesn't have a football program)

The FBS team would likely destroy the FCS team, and they wouldn’t matchup the FCS champion against the worst FBS team because that would be a bit too much shaming.

Nicholls State could’ve won this game, they got intimidated late. Chase Forcade & the WR Dixon did a great job of keeping the Colonels in it until late. If this game was played in Thibodaux, Louisiana I think Nicholls gets the upset.

while i don't know too much about NDS every year i see them in the FCS playoffs at #1 and it really makes me think they should be a D1 school. their obviously too good for the FCS

Jeffrey Russell Jr also played 5 top 10 teams. Isn’t Ohio state too win against Cincinnati from the AAC who lost to Memphis? 😂 don’t let Memphis beat penn state, that’ll be embarrassing to Ohio state fans claiming they have legit top wins when they lose to Memphis 😂

I don't think they ever will they prefer to be a powerhouse. Just like Gonzaga and college basketball. People have been telling the Zags to switch to the Pac 12 for years

chase grams I'd say maybe mountain west or big 12 as well. Mountain west most due to the school size and budget.

Where's the first down line? These FCS broadcasts don't seem to have it. I mean, all football fields are generally the same (unlike soccer where they can change it up a bit as long as it's within regulation) so it's not that hard to just apply it to this broadcast, right?

You know I didn't even notice this until you pointed it out. Very strange. The games are broadcast by ESPN but I think Turner is in charge of the production since they are the ones claiming all the FCS videos

NCAA can’t just do that lmao there is a lot involved in moving a team from FCS to FBS mainly financial factors

You might say the same thing about Mount Union. They are a Division III school that has 13 National Championships. They could be in the FCS level.
