Hi there, Im the owner of a Nic 32 Mk XI in France. You've got an interesting solution for draining the cockpit which I might do in the future. Please keep the mods coming. Especially the composting heads, this is next on our to do list! Fair winds, Karl

Karl, thanks for the comment. I was discussing the Airhead composting toilet installation with the Derecktor-Robinhood manager just last week. It will go in after the boat is launched and the mast stepped in May in order to get the location just right. I selected the "hull shape" model because it has the smallest footprint. airheadtoilet.com/the-air-head/details-dimensions/ I'll post a video when it's done.

Just found your site I have the same boat, hull # 317. I have video's on my site I've changed a lot and built a fiber-glass dodger. Did you just run the back cockpit drains straight down? mine run up and join the front ones.

To increase cockpit drainage capacity for offshore sailing, the aft drains (P&S) run forward to their own, dedicated seacock/thru-hulls; they are no longer tee-ed into the forward drains. The forward cockpit drains and associated seacocks/thru-hulls were up-sized to 2-inch. Together with the added draining capacity of the freeing ports through the transom, the total cockpit draining time/capacity meets current offshore standards.

Thanks for the comment. Sorry, I don't have more information on fitting the inner forestay; many other modifications and improvements seemed more important. I'm not a member of an association or have a site, as such. I'm on Twitter @nic32AIR where there is a link to my blog in my profile, nic32air.wordpress.com working on a new video to post in a week or so. Stay tuned.
