Mafia 3 has the best story out of the games, in my opinion. The mission structure and the way you go about unlocking the district bosses was tedious though but the actual assassinations were pretty good.
They’ve had years to learn and expand upon the engine they were left by 2k Czech. Mafia 3 was rushed to be a different experience, but they are learning and listening to fans.

@@zachoneill6570 I was talking about leading the company. Maybe I didn't express it correctly, english is not my first language. Not main character gay, but still that could happen too in the future if gay/woke people are put in leading roles in the company.
Sadly, I don't think the games will be comparable because if this game takes place before Mafia 1, there will be very little driving and... without driving it becomes a very different game. Hope I am wrong but don't think so.

The mafia has always been, from the very beginning, a calling for danger and atrocities. But at least there was honor and respect in that when it started. Now that doesn't exist anymore these days. This franchise has shown me that even the corrupt can become even more corrupt and horrible. And that is because I love it.

A mafia game set in the 1900 in a time without cars and machine guns is a unsual choice. When I heard rumors M4 was going to be a prequel too M1, I would’ve guessed the farthest back they would go is the late 1910s whilst keeping the story in America. But I am very interested to see how this goes.
we want to see a lot more side missions this time. The story is gonna be great as usual but side missions and long storyline would make it much better.
My grandparents migrated from Sicily in the 1950s and they were leaving a corrupt and horrible place to build a life. Even today in Sicily the modern Mafia are horrible people who take advantage of small businesses and destroy farmland that's owned by familes who have had ties to the land for generations. I live in NYC and have met people associated with the 5 families, and they too are corrupt and horrible sc*m bags who offer people predatory loans and use violoence against them when debts are not paid as well as individuals who smuggle drugs to this city. We need to stop romantizing the Italian mafia...
It looks so cool and I would be so happy about it if I didn't still have Mafia 3 in my head. I'll definitely give it a chance and become a fan again if they really got back to basics and ditched that stupid arcadey gameplay. 🤮 The Definitive Edition of the original was certainly good, but the gunplay was clearly from the grotty 3 and the mission designs were clearly worsened in my opinion by shortening entire storylines, which would have been hugely important for immersion. (You Lucky Bastard / Lucas Bertone) I'm a little worried that they might mess it up again... But hope remains, but they'll have to prove themselves before I will buy it.
that's the thing though, I'd love the simulation style gameplay as Mafia should be, but that doesn't sell, we all saw how much people hated on RDR2 which had great gameplay and still people cried because it wasn't arcady, but my main problem is that it wasn't even good arcady, even by arcady standards, the Driving was the best part of game-design in DE but Gunplay was no good, it was a downgrade on Mafia 2's gunplay which was smoother

I hope Hangar 13 has learned from its mistakes in Mafia 3, it's a good game but the repetitions in the structure of the districts detracts too much from the pacing
I just hope they give it real love... Mafia has always been the best in giving the vibes and depicting the environment of the ages the chapters take place into. But look at Mafia Definitive Edition: Tommy, an ordinary cab driver, was just a sad reskin of Lincoln Clay, a vietnam veteran, in all its animations and movesets and this is a shame! And all the cut content also... It was skinned to bones, just a mere "cinematic experience". Don't get me wrong I really hope to see a great game in Mafia The Old Country, but seeing gaming nowadays... who can tell

woke doesn't mean anything anyway, I literally see people call a game woke because it has a black woman in it or something, and then there's Elden Ring where main characters of the story have none traditional genders, and there's no Male or Female in the game, just Body type 1 and Body type 2, same with Wukong and how the character has no gender and can shapeshift into anything(which is actually woke), so why are they not called Woke/DEI? gamers call something woke only when its a bad game
@@Ar1AnX1xyou're kinda right it applies to alot of things, Juliet in romeo and juliet being a black girl who's taller than romeo and is built like a bodybuilder is woke. Theres literally no need to add actors like that when the orignal play didn't have them described like that. The other use is adding gay/trans characters and making it the key point of the characters and shoving it in your face every 2 minutes, Saints row reboot is an example of this, an example of an lgbt character actually done right and not woke is ellie from TLOU.

Kind of disappointed. If it takes place before Mafia 1... There were barely any cars in Italy, that probably means that there will be little driving in the game, something like Assassin's Creed and I don't care about riding horses in a video game.
