In the sense that you are going back to Medieval times, when a handful of people had all the properties and the power while the vast majority is struggling to survive? Yes, that might as well be true.
I do Agree with him on the UK being a very jelous nation that does not celebrate financial gain/success in the same way as Americans do. He is spot on with the car example. We tend to look down on others who have achieved more than us rather than gey inspired by them.
He didn't start with 6k - sorry that is a fallacy. He borrowed something like 60k of his Grandmother, I think. To be successful from zero is extremely hard indeed, but I agree not impossible.

Look at the hypocrisy of the left, Dianne Abbot bleated on about private schools, yet sent her son to one when she had the chance. This country was built upon meritocracy and if the Lord of the world's has blessed you with wealth, others shouldn't have the green eyed monster. Personally I've met Mr Candy, had a few brief hello/hi exchanges where I work, and he seems down to earth. This country needs to do something about those sitting at home wasting time, not working and then complaining about being flooded by foreigners. This is a small island and we cannot sustain unlimited migration, but we also cannot have 5 million work shy moping about. Get up, get out and graft. I have kids and rent in London, people say how can you afford it. Well I do 12 hour shifts, and take as much overtime as is available to ensure we're ok. Others should do the same, there's enough work available in the security sector, catering, hospitality, as a carer. If a bearded son of a immigrant is welcomed to work long hours in a prestigious institution, why can't others do the same , instead of whining and moaning, or being envious of others. Rant over.
A very insular opinion around jealousy & wealth and huge sweeping statements about the pyche of certain nations. He claims this government is bashing huge corperations. I think Mr Candy has very little perspective on what poor people are going through in today society if his sympathies/concerns are for the coperations.
