I completely agree with Nick! I am divorced and will never get married again. I believe in functioning out of vanity vs. ego. All this "marriage" bullshit is for the government and the "image". I do believe that marriage is for the sake of family, which by extension means it's for the sake of the woman (the source of new life/family). The man's role is to support her. And the hardest part of this is the fact that society paints a picture or assume that because you’re a male you’re suppose to live up to these pressures. Bro we had a pastor in our church over at the harvest in the city of Chino, Ca. pass away from suicide. He was in charge of one of programs that help individuals with depression and day to day anxieties. He lived a good life (my view as a outsider.) had a loving wife and kids. It was shocking to everyone. Makes me think about the amount of pressure men are under on a daily.

Folks married for decades die within months of each other due to loving so much. But it's not just romantic relationships. Health problems can be caused by any type of relationship - work, family, friends. People bring drama into your life, even if it's unintended. Good for him to recognize his boundaries.
