Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are no ordinary group of musicians. Across four decades and 17 studio albums they have established themselves as one of the most exciting, influential and progressive bands on the planet. Albums including The Boatman's Call (1997), No More Shall We Part (2001), Push the Sky Away (2013) and their most recent Ghosteen (2019) have firmly cemented Cave’s position as one of the most acclaimed and sophisticated songwriters of his generation. Over the years, the Bad Seeds have harboured some of alternative music’s most celebrated and idiosyncratic musicians including Mick Harvey, Blixa Bargeld, Kid Congo Powers, Barry Adamson and the late, great Conway Savage. The current line-up of the group features the vital presence of shamanic multi-instrumentalist Warren Ellis alongside Martyn Casey (bass), Thomas Wydler (drums), Jim Sclavunos (percussion) and George Vjestica (guitar). A band apart, right from the very beginning, the Bad Seeds have always sounded like nobody else on earth.

I don't know if yours was a rhetorical question or not but he really is the murderer, he says that he doesn't read Milton but quotes him two times...
@malicewonder8345
@malicewonder8345 Месяц назад
@@harviselami1526 He could be basically any kind of person, for instance 1. a harmless liar telling a totally fictional story in hope of getting attention, money etc. 2. a man who was just a witness of those events but pretended it was his family 3. the father who became the murderer of his own family 4. the murderer who pretended he was the father 5. a potential robber/murderer who invented a tragic story in hope of getting into other people's houses Actually, he quotes Milton three times (farewell happy fields + red right hand + sum of earthly bliss) and could have started reading Milton after the events, if there were any events at all.

@@malicewonder8345 But this isn't true crime. This is a fictional story in the form of a poem, in an album called Murder Ballads, over pretty creepy music. To me there's no doubt the suggestion is the narrator is the killer, but if you want to convince us of another reading you have to explain why it makes for a better story, not merely why it's plausible =)

@@milu3779 I never said one of these versions is better than the other. For me the greatest horror is in the uncertainty. Even if the author himself said that the narrator is the killer. :)
