The level of effort in your videos is unmatched among true crime channels, it's a shame that the algorithm buries them for not being advertiser-friendly enough. I'm never disappointed and the wait is always worth it
Congratulations on season finale, Darren! Outstanding as always, you’ve perfected your very unique format and delivery. Each and every video leaves me happy that we have you as a content creator. Coming from a country with little gun violence, I couldn’t imagine how unsafe i would feel coming to school every day knowing that a variety of institutions designed to protect and nurture society might as well fail another troubled child and eventually lives of others. I was soo shocked to realise over a number of teen shooting cases how easy it is for them to lay hands on weapons in US. Speaking of Nik, I think he displayed facial features common for FAS even as a child. Completed with birth mom’s history, the nature of his symptoms should’ve been obvious for his early doctors. Unfortunately, his story shows that sometimes providing help can be not enough. As the sentencing footage started alongside victims’ photos, I felt like skipping this part but pushed myself through in respect to these people. While waiting for part IV I’ve caught up with previous ones, and remembering what you’ve told beautifully about victims and families made me incredibly sad but also thankful for the manner you bring these things up. That was a great season of Something Criminal! I wish you happy holidays Darren and for this channel to finally blow up as it deserves. I would be happy to provide closed captions to any of your videos if you wish. Please let me know!
The only thank you needed is for you to continue making great content! Always well researched and so respectful to the victims. Looking forward to season 4!
I can’t imagine how difficult this must have been to research and complete. You did such a good job taking us through this horrific event. Thank you for documenting this
Really great job on every instalment of this tragedy thank you. I cannot fathom algorithms, but 'you're up there with the best researched, balanced and compassionate narratives in true crime.
Ohh wait…..U DID post on him before! I completely skimmed right over “Part IV” in the title. I thought I was going crazy swearing I saw this already. For those who don’t know, about 2 yrs ago, LPR posted videos titled Parkland Shooter Parts I - III. Def, go back n watch those or at least refresh your memory b4 diving into this video. LPR is the 🐐!!! Name another top tier true crime chnl that researched a topic so well, he had to put out a 4 part series to cover it all.
@@SportsandTrueCrime Thank you Candi!!! I tried to give the first 3 differing perspectives, and they are written independently of each other, you won't need to watch one to understand the other ;)
Life has been hectic for the past months so I haven't been able to watch your vids but now that I have time I can't wait to binge everything because I already know the quality will be amazing.
man only your videos get me all teary eyed... well done my friend. humankind can be so ugly... yet create such beauty... i hope some day we stand only for the advancement of our civilization and thats all that matters from then on...
You never cease to amaze me Mr. Lpr. This documentary was dynamic. You put everything together about this tragedy in such a way that this should be the only narrative available when someone decides to research this. You respectively hit every point in detail about this. You've blown me away yet again. Thank you for all your efforts time and dedication when it comes to educating us on some of the worst moments to happen in our lifetime. Thank you!
@@LPRPresents no no no, 🥰🥰🥰 thank you! Lol, but no for real I first heard and saw something on our boy Kip Kinkle back in 2001 I think it was, on a slow but effective documentary about him. And something about his story really stuck with me. Fast forward to the time of youtube being my personal go to for documentaries and literally no one had done anything on him.. except for maybe a long bland, semi educational video basically show casing his mental disorders. Which was good, right? Like, it set him apart from the Columbine yokles. Then another 2yrs, nothing. But a very nice lady recommended your channel and video on Kip, and that did it right there. Especially the ending with the song Monster.. Like..... Mr. Lpr, I think I posted before how I felt like that song captured everything about who we were looking at.. God, I didn't mean to go on and on.. but to have a quick opportunity to possibly speak to an amazing creator has really brightened my day.. P:s Your part 2 on Chris Watts, I was like damn yo, Lpr did it again. The intro, with Watts talking over the clips of the officers handling the sheet he wrapped his wife in and so on? Very masterful, in my opinion. But once again, thank you. You will always have my support. Its not much, but you'll definitely have it! Hugs & Kisses from Philly!!
@@RubiiMoon Kip Kinkel was an interesting story! I truly feel for Kip, and mental illness is certainly at the core of this tale :( I felt like I wanted to know more about Kip than the illness, although I did research extensively into mental disorders when making this episode. The thing that drew me into this case was the interrogation, the angst in Kip's voice as he exclaims to the detective he had no other choice really pulled at my heart, I felt like an entire story was told in those handful of words. And thats the story I wanted to tell. Of the boy, not the patient. I hope I was able to deliver! And there I go on a rant. If Im being honest, I wrote and deleted an additional 3 paragraphs to this reply
Everyone who's watching this channel, needs to help and share so it'll gain more subscribers. The work you put in every video is amazing I haven't seen a better cover of the Cruz/Parkland case, and I watched a ton. So many informations I've had no clue of. BRILLIANT❤
Fantastic! Thank you for the shout out too🥰 Your stuff is top tier! Already looking forward to the next season. Hope you’re able to enjoy a nice break in between.
@@LPRPresents not quite from the start..from the Watts.. Regardless it is my pleasure. I love being able to support you and see you and the channel grow and develop ♥️
Every time I get the bell that a new LPR doc is up, I click and feel two different things: The first is excitement, obviously, followed by almost complete bewilderment that a channel of this exceptional quality, could still have so few subs. One of this days, I’m going see that sub count explode exponentially, I just know it.
Omg! I haven’t watched yet but I didn’t realize you were posting. I just saw this going through my subscribes. Never get discouraged. At least one person is genuinely excited to find new content from you. Im turning notifications on.
Wow…Just wow…what a way to end Season 3. I know I’m a few days late (I’m sorry…just busy and kept trying to get to it but the hours got lost on me). This was just an incredible episode. I know you mentioned on the Patreon, that you were worried about the length but….I still want more. The way you put your words together and tell the story….my heart melts, my eyes tear up, my jaw drops… Your story telling and presentation just always goes above and beyond what I expect every single time I watch an episode. Incredible. Just incredible Darren…Thank you.
Braved the forests, braved the stone Braved the icy winds and fire Braved and beat them on my own Yet I'm helpless by the river.. Life is too short for hatred. Let's be kind to one another and create a better life for the future of humankind... rest in peace to all souls that have been lost due to senseless violence. May the world find its peace.
This content can get tough to surround myself with, but I am sure to always remember self care! Thank you so much for wondering, that is truly too kind
I’m proud to have you! You’ve been with the channel for a very long time now Brigitte, I never forget and am wholly grateful and appreciative! Without patron support, I’m certain the channel would not exist, or atleast in the capacity it currently does. Thank you!!!
I don't support the death penalty but cases like this make that position difficult. My heart is with the victims and all who are affected by the violence of this horrible incident.
I had no idea he was so troubled. I was under the impression he just snapped. This was obviously something planned, something he was compelled to carry out.
Thank you for making it available! Ive said it before, but your sound is so powerful, and emotionally charged, I love it. For those wondering, its the credit roll song, Fire by Post AV
Im not sure what's going on, but to be certain I reached out to let Post Av know I was using this track. I think it's a courtesy that every musician and artist should be given, when possible. As a once upon a Ttme musician myself, I always liked to know when the Creative Commons music I had made was being used, and where. It was always interesting to see how someone was influenced, or interpreted my sound. And I love Post Av, this is atleast the second time Ive used him ;)
That’s a great question, actually. “Post Av” actually comes from the road I use to live on called Post Avenue. It’s the house I started this whole project in and at the time I hadn’t heard of Post Malone.
Another thoughtful and well researched video. Thank you for creating this content. The footage and videos of the wounded was horrific to see. I struggle to find the value in showing the gruesome photos, but if your goal is to add more understanding of N.C.'s impact I guess it succeeded.
thanks for your videos, they are amazing work and always show a lot of humanity. I am from Europe and I think that a great country like USA, should not apply the death penalty anymore and should also enforce gun control as quickly as possible.
Watching the school map animation with the quick paced music, the rapidly counting time clock, along with the greying of the children’s photos utterly breaks my heart….. those poor babies…. So young… Although I was also tracking his black dot and how his movement; relative to the schools blueprint, correlated with the darkening of the shot/dead victims… and it’s really rather odd…. He doesn’t act with quick succession…. He doesn’t use that limited initial time of surprise very effectively or swiftly…. Plus it was the dots further away from his line of sight that kept darkening. Not the ones in front; those clearly an easier and clearer shot… it’s just weird
I also really don’t understand the way the kids are attempting to hide or shelter. They’re just sitting around on the floor, without any cover, or shielding, or guarding… like… wtf? Use the desks like fucking tetris. Build up a wall. Do something
The more I watch these type of videos the more I understand why actors are paid so well. (Didn’t expect that sharp turn, did ya?) Seriously, every time one of these criminals tries to feign shock, sorrow, innocence, disbelief, etc its almost always immediately apparent that he is lying thru his damn teeth. I’m not saying they should take professional actors training - but practice in the mirror a lil bit. I mean...c’mon... Y’all should watch more of his unedited interrogation whenever possible.
Excellent video. Question: The testimonies of the victims and witnesses were extremely compelling. Is there a reason why you didn’t include any clips of those testimonies in this video?
Originally the episode was 3 hours long, I included things like the complete debacle that was the trial, a much deeper look into Rocxanne and Zach, and of course, the victim/witness testimonies. The testimonies themselves could have made an entire episode, and after battling with how and if I could use them, I ended on just using the few verdict reaction clips at the end, which tell a similar, albeit less impactful story. I was nervous about length, and audience retention, and made the hard choice to do heavy cutting. In the future, as this happens often, I may decide to keep the full 'directors cut' with all the potentially cut content exclusively for patrons, and release the edited and censored version on RU-vid. My channel does not fit well with the RU-vid monetization requirements and exposure algorithms, by my own production choices, and this could be a way to publish both the full unedited version, and a RU-vid friendly version.
@@LPRPresents Thank you! As just a person who watches these videos, I can only imagine what all goes into making them. I’m certain the editing and production is unbelievably time consuming. I, for one, really like the musical overtone you put in. That’s probably not the right vernacular, but you know what I mean! I’m sure it’s tough to make a video that’s intriguing for viewers but also respectful to the victims and their families. You have done a wonderful job at both.
@@GeorgiaPeach0521 Thank you so much! The first 3 in this series tell a bit more of a complete story. I wrote the first episode entering around Nick and the shooting, Part 2 was about the victims and their families, and the 3rd about all the fallout, and expansion on Nick, if you are interested ;)
This is part 4, the first 3 were in season 1. I wrote them all in a way that they can watch independently of each other ;). But, this episode is a complete summation of parts one and two, with all the holes filled in, including the trial
It's a shame you think that clips of actual events in the Parkland aftermath are not worth reporting. They happened, ignoring it doesn't change it. To be sure, I'm from Canada, but have no stance on firearms other than they are dangerous in the hands of the wrong people, ask is clearly demonstrated with crimes like this.
I’ve gone to school with kids that had Fetal alcohol syndrome. They turned out just fine. Never caused trouble in school. I would’ve voted for Death, simply for blaming “marijuana and other drugs.” He’s still not taking accountability. And the fact he’s “doing this for you.” For who? Should be for himself.
