@@ymcaseptember6089 he looks the same to me although in the last couple of years his face looked a little thicker but then thats probably because he did get a little thicker
Man, Nick came off very respectful here..not one single bashing words of his opponent cyborg!!! He seem to articulate more in this interview than other ones I've seen.. he does look around a lot just like his brother Nate as if someone is about to jump them from behind. Props to Ariel for letting him speak and not interrupting.... Ariel the goat of mma journalism/interview!!!!!!!
that dude right there, Nick Diaz, he is the reason i got into mma. he is all heart and dedication, yeah he can be an asshole at times but that is what makes him a true badass.
Damn nick be happy brother you just won! I can't wait to see you back this fall! Smoke weed everyday, u might got the better fighters in nor cal but you know the best weed is grown down here in la county homie
Actually, for a Nick Diaz interview, this is actually really good. He usually just gives 1 word answers. But he actually gave a bit more this time around. Listen guys, the guy is a fighter, not a theoretical physicist. Get off his back.
you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know
he s an exceedingly talented fighter but quite pretentious and seemingly uneducated. i appreciate that he alway competes in mma to fight -not to score points or grapple for decisions. thanks for sharing these videos, cheers
@danpats1 its called Diaz vs. Cyborg. It's about 11 or 12 minutes long. You can see in the final 20 seconds of round one he is limping and as he's moving to his corner, he is trying not to put weight on his right foot.
jugdging by all the comments, i can understand why nate learned self defense...he was tired of being bullied for something he couldnt help...he may not be the best talker, but he's one hell of a fighter...
@jawkster Well said. This guy needs to GROW UP. What other professional athlete acts like this? MMA is still a growing sport, and Ariel is by far one of the best interviewers in sports. let alone MMA. Diaz, you don't want to give an interview - then don't. Perhaps that's why we don't see you in the UFC. "I'll fight anybody" . . . except Mayhem Miller.
He didn't say that to her, he said it to people that were trash talking him in the crowd... Many people think he was talking to Cyborg's wife because it's been so misrepresented in the media! Poor Diaz gets a way worse rep than he deserves.
@Danielson184 You do have a point about his wrestling, though. He needs to learn it, as well as checking kicks better, & not relying on boxing so much. He needs to mix it up more and he does have the talent to do so--he's just stuck on wanting to brawl it out all the time. That could eventually work against him as he may fail to adjust to a great wrestler or superior kick striker.
@TheJASM4collection I know, i have it favorited. I looked again and I seriously dont see it, as the round ended he was actually bouncing around a little bit but no limping. you must be looking at faint subtleties, he didnt even wince at the kicks landed in the second round at all. a lot of people saying he doesn't check the leg kicks but he blocked a lot of them with his shin
Haters gon hate, but you can't deny that Nick is one of the few fighters with his own style. He's wrecking dudes. Mayhem already punked out in real life, he's just running his mouth on the internet.
him and his brother are great fighters! Think so highly of both of them. You can tell he HATES dealing with the interviews and the media and the whole idea of having to do a little dog and pony show. He would rather just fight and go home. To a degree I respect that but on the other hand its a business and to really be mentioned in the top tier fighters he needs to do his part. Perception is reality and unfortunately that means having to do the dog and pony show. Great fight Nick!!
Man his videos are funny, he's socially very awkward, seems pretty cool, I hope he fights Mayhem, they'd really bring the spotlight to Strikeforce, nothing grabs attention like a real feud.
The Diaz brothers attitude gets annoying at times, but I'm still a fan of them, Diaz did excellent in the fight on saturday, he took some hard leg kicks and still kept fighting and came out with the win. Dude is a warrior like him or not.
man i respect both the diaz bros. they arent the most articulate dudes but shit, they go in there and kick some ass and thats all that matters at the end of the day in the mma world. nicks the only reason to watch strikeforce lmfao
"You were talking to someone after the fight, on national tv, in front of MILLIONS of people, what was that about?" "Oh, that was just between me and him, no one else."
@piratebri no, actually he usually gives thousand word answers b/c he tends to ramble. Interviewers normally only get to ask him about 3 questions and he just runs with it.
@vtguy429 Yup you have a good point. Diaz is fun to watch but he probably doesn't get past the UFC's top 10 WW's. I also really dont think he'll get past Daley but at least that's one we'll actually be able to watch soon.
@Danielson184 agree with you on that one but these guys fight for a leaving so don't expect much. Same goes with Lesnar, he can't go through an interview without spacing out.
