After all these years you can see the passion for the game still bubbling out of him. He gets a bad rap from some of the golfing community but hes such a passionate golfer
Been watching Sir Nick since i was a kid, such an inspiration to many a young golfers in the UK since back in the late 70´s. Some good practice and game tips to be had here thanks!!
One of the better hints'n'tips videas out there. No bullshit "there's more than one way to play a bunker shot" look at the best, keep the fundamentals simple and work on what works for you. Gotta love Nick Faldo
Sir Nick is the best British golfer ever !! and right up there with Jack and Seve in my opinion nice to see him giving the time and showing us hackers some tips on You tube.
Gosh, I've always respected Mr. Faldo as a player, announcer and now as an instructor. He is such a great and fun guy!! Thanks for the incredible insight. Six major Championships is amazing sir Nick
My two favourite golfers back in the day were Curtis Strange and Nick Faldo. They had some memorable one on one duels. Neither one said a word and they shook hands like gentlemen every time. I like them both on tv as well.
simply the best British golfer ever , watched Sir Nick play Seve in the world matchplay at Wentworth , travelled down from Ipswich in an allegro which had 4 different coloured doors and newspaper coming out of the bodywork, and parked next to a rolls Royce and a Bentley, when we got back to the car I had 25 ft gap ever side of me lol lol ... great days ...
jules hughes your story reminded me of when I parked my old skoda amongst all the posh Mercs, Range Rovers and Beamers at a rugby match my sons team were playing at a posh public school..The look of sheer horror on other parents faces when I rocked up and parked it in the car park all bold as brass 😂😂
I got into golf at 17 with Nick, Sevie, Gregg, Wossie as the idols of the day. Well done Nick. Keep these coming. Brilliant to see these u tubes videos. The Sevie bunker shot was spot on: )
The best and simple instructor in the world. Every lesson and video Nick has done are by far the best instruction available. not technical and easy to follow for us meer mortals. if your a youngster and hit it 320 every time and just blast it you have no business watching these legends of golf. Falso swing was one of the best, Tigers, Ben Hogan also.
I still have a bunker instruction cut out from a golf magazine from when i was 13 (31 now) from ernie els for bunker shots. imagine your holding a tray of drinks when playing the shot. the idea behind it is to never let the drinks spill. so if you imagine the club face is the tray, when you first enter the bunker, open the face then take your grip, settle yourself then swing. remembering to keep that club face the same all the way through the shot.always worked great for me.
Mark Crossfield has the knack of what ive missed even though these new clubs ive had since June 2018 and won with trial and error on range my first ever matchplay singles title and first trophy in 10 years. My problem is the driver but my putting and recovery shots are great . I look forward to more .
Looks to have adopted an interlocking grip, he played overlap/Vardon in his prime. Interesting- interlocking seems to have taken over. Tiger etc... Faldo is great, cracking instructor- has been for decades.
Great tip from Sir Faldo. I actually worked out this drill on my on after many months of frustrating misses. It's now my go to drill every time. It works. BTW, sack the cameraman.
"I'd kick it in the left rough." Most of us are kicking it into the short stuff FROM the rough. Sir Nick has always been one the pros best in touch with the struggles of amateur golfers and tips for course management, how to play within your game, and how to practice and really improve. His book Golf: The Winning Formula and Tommy Armour's book How to Play Your Best Golf All the Time are absolutely crucial reading.
Some excellent tips here - I could listen to Faldo all day when he's teaching. He'll have forgotten more than most know as the old cliche goes. Perhaps aimed at players with some level of skill and experience though i.e not that helpful to beginners maybe?
I don't understand teeing up the ball high in the wind drill. Is it a concentration drill, keeping head still drill or is Nick saying tee the ball up very high off the tee for any club?
Not exactly punishing rough. You’d be lucky to even find your ball in the rough where I play. Still appreciate these masterclass tips by one of the true greats of the game.
Mn 6.. if you show up to the golf course 15 mins before your tee time, don't be surprised when you mishit your first 10 shots. Build an effective warmup routine and stick to it.
@@annefilippobertozzi7601 the swing is a result of an entire system called body motion. I would therefore have the whole picture of Nick instead of his bellybutton.
It's heretical to some but centrifugal force is real, at least the effect is, call it what you like but there is an outward pull but only when it's being swung (rotated). And good players can utilise it.
when you use left side swing too much inside drop ., long time ago talked about sword at your top swing position. That mean your top position should not parallel on your target. It like a" Feeling put into the sheath" If you doing this. 1. will solve the too much inside drop problem. 2. will solve the don't fell the club head weight all the time during the swing. 3. Your wright shoulder should over your left side feet., this will make your ball flight too low. Good Luck. Just like Old time. Bye
It's loads of different segments stitched together in one video, there's no clear transition between each lesson. The first segment is a bit vague I agree
Sir Nick, your advices are great but please, change your cameraman because he is by far the worst 😵💫. Just one exemple, when you explain your chin motion, he shows your feet , …..
