If he does, it'll fuck his singing up. I know it sounds weird but it's the truth. Normally they'd tell you to open your mouth to sing better, which is true in most cases, but he's been singing like this for his whole life, his mouth is used to shaping the sound that comes out of his vocal chords that way. If he tried to change it, it would be like putting am instrument out of tune

He moves his mouth this way, almost gritting his teeth because it is a vocal technique. It keeps his vowels "forward" and it is common in pop and r&b music. It seems a little more exaggerated here but this really works for him. Without shaping his mouth and teeth like this, he would lose his intonation
