Fox Sports NFL Host Nick Wright believes that Caleb Williams could lead the Chicago Bears to the Super Bowl as soon as this season. Wright said on ‘First Things First’ and ‘The Herd’ on FS1 that Williams can guide the Bears through a weak NFC all the way to the Super Bowl in his rookie year. With the Bears having an manageable early schedule and one of the top defenses in the NFL, how likely is this to happen? I think a 7-2 start is absolutely on the table… This is my bold prediction: forget guaranteeing the playoffs.I’m flirting with the idea: I think Caleb could lead the Bears to the Super Bowl in his rookie season. This Bears team is a playoff team with slightly-below average QB play. They were a 7-win team last year and they added Rome Odunze and Keenan Allen.So in that weak NFC, with that type of momentum and not having to play any divisional games until the last third of his rookie season, I could see the Bears shocking everyone except me.”

I completely agree! It seems like the Bears making the playoffs and C.J. STROUD’s 2023 stat line have become many people’s “minimum” expectation this season. Everyone needs to look at Payton Mannings first year stats and chill out with the 4000 yards and 25+ TD talk for Caleb’s rookie season.

I think the schedule is built in a way where Caleb can have struggles and they can still win 6-7 games in the early stretch. Pretty much every difficult game is in the last 8 games. If he struggles he has 10 weeks to work through it and he’ll have his 3 hardest matchups in that 10 week stretch happen before the bye so he should have some good film to review on the bye

I think nick wright is trying to psyche the bears out. The better work their tails off. Maybe Caleb, will lead them all to elevate every player. Defence needs a lot of forced fumbles and interceptions. I see 9 wins and a lot of close losse, unless they pick up a ferocious pass rusher from the edge, and better center to protect Caleb. If you have seen Nick Wrights predictions and QB analysis over the last 7 years you know 3 things. 1. He hypes every QB who is taken first overrall (Lawrence, Mayfield etc) 2. Can he? Of course. If Caleb is as good as everyone believes, with the weapons he has, the offense will be a problem for ANY defense. If our defense is as good as last year even, if not better, then I can see a run to the superbowl. Assuming no injuries etc. Right now on paper, its fucking amazing to be a bears fan. I hope the paper assessment pans out to be reality.

I don’t see the improvement on paper. Who,what, where ? All the other teams got way better in draft. We got two players. Top 10. But our o line just did not improve measurably, and none of them have played together much. Jenkins will get hurt. Wright or Braxton will get hurt. I don’t think these coaches train for durability. Lots of soft tissue injuries on flus teams. Besides that the league officiating is rigged. They won’t let the bears beat all these teams with 5 pick draft.. It’s about ratings.

@@specialist-in-tech Then either you are a bot, not a fan, or blind. Keenan Allen is a huge upgrade to WR2, add in Rome, that trio is already better on paper than last year. Not realizing this, means you are just in hate just to hate mode. Byard is an upgrade, Coleton Shelton is an upgrade at center, Ryan Bates is a good back up for when Tevin goes down. Three more spots already an upgrade. Ill keep going. Deandre Swift is an upgrade, dude is a fantastic receiver, and hes extremely fast. And we didnt lose Khalil or Rochean. Oh and we got Gerald Everett as our second TE, who btw had over 50 catches last year. Oh and Caleb will be an upgrade to Fields. The question is what team are you following?

The Bears have a 0% chance of making it to the Super Bowl in 2024, and it’s just foolish to think otherwise. If we make the playoffs, winning a road game against the 49’ers, Cowboys or Lions is just unrealistic with a Rookie QB, and a talented, but very young and highly inexperienced team.

Until the season starts, you can't say that any team has a 0% chance to do anything. What if Love, Stafford and Goff all become injured during preseason? What if the Bears trade for another incredible Edge? Until the games start, there aren't any gaurentees

I think the Bears have the better roster in the NFC North…with 1 exception. The QB: not sure how well Caleb will perform against Love and Goff. If Caleb can go in split those games against the Packers and Lions, then we can talk about competing against the 49ers, Chiefs, Bills, Rams, and Eagles

Titans, Texans, Colts and Rams are an easy start? The Titans may be the weakest of the 4 but they are no joke for an NFL rookie Quarterback's debut. Panthers okay. Then the Jaguars? That sounds like very possibly a 1 - 5 start to me. I know Caleb is good but he better start off great. I don't trust ANYTHING Nick Wright has to say.. him and Skip Bayless seems to get more things wrong on ESPN than anyone else 😂.. I joke with my buddies and say if Skip Bayless ever picks you in something then you probably are going to lose.. Nick wright isn't far behind.. Hell your first red flag clue should be when he calls the NFC North/ NFC weak?!😂🤡

Didn't the Detroit Lions improve in all the facets that was their weaknesses that teams would exploit from this past season?.. so in reality the things that the Bears and the Packers were exploiting to the Lions to win those games won't be there no more this upcoming season with the acquisitions (GM) Brad Holmes have done and free agency and the draft... you guys have to remember when you're making these predictions you have to imprint the new acquisitions of these teams and what their weaknesses were from the previous season and ask yourself did they improve in those areas and if so how much/ how efficient? .. all I'm saying when it comes to Detroit I wouldn't be penciling in any type of WINS.whatsoever because it's a disrespect to your opponents especially when they're being considered Super Bowl contenders and I wouldn't be surprised if the Lions made it to the Super Bowl this season.. they really have no glaring weaknesses..

@@andrebryant5081 the players from last year may or may not improve but they lost Justin jones on front 4. Huge loss. Need to replace him. All new people are unproven. Flus team on D got lucky last 6 weeks of year. Road momentum. That’s gone. Now have some newcpkayers. Jaylon got payed too much, and will now letdown. Waldrons offense could be a major cluster to learn. I have major doubts about this team. Way too high of expectations. Just don’t see flus being able to raise the bar on D, unless his ne assistants bring out some spectacular play all at once. Seems unrealistic without any new higher high talent on front 4.

Disliked for purposefully glossing over Jags and Lawrence. He might be one of the best QBs this year and you mentioned some terrible players. Your habitual dismissal of a player who still has unlimited potential on his rookie deal will come to mind when I see him making plays this year
