Top 25 offensive talent in the league. I just don' t understand why he doesn't want to become a great defender. SMH effort will cost him so much money man...
@wizarethebest I'm talking being consistent against most of the good teams, not just one team specifically. I know he can score 30 or more points against bad teams and put up a show against the Lakers at L.A., but I want to see him score a lot against Boston, Chicago, Orlando, or any other good teams from the West. If the Wizards make the playoffs in the future and if Young resigns back with Washington, then I need to know if he can become a threat against the good teams during a playoff series.
ive said this for a while (yrs), but dude is the most natural scorer their is, playing the 2 guard, to kobe. if he could just work on his all-around game, all man.
@wizarethebest It was actually 33. The only guy to play the heat multiple times last season and average 27 points on them from the east. The best part is the first game he played against them, he didn't even start and got no pt. Hell, he could have had a 30 ppg avg. against the heat. I agree with you, HE IS EXTREMELY CONSISTENT against good teams, but not consistent with the bad ones. Goes to show that he likes the spotlight and challenge of a good team.
according to the drew league website, he was 16/30 in fg. 5/12 in 3 point fg. 22/25 in free throws. 1 assist, 4 rebounds and 32 minutes and it says he had 59 pts not 60.
@ChillyCloth It's summer league game number one so who cares but even in real ball sometimes selfish is what's needed. If you're a big-time scorer and you have it cookin' on a given night it's ok if you ride it out until you cool off. Besides we don't know how many dimes he through because they only showed him shooting. Plus he went to the line a lot and that's always good. From what I saw he started out taking good shots and then realized he couldn't miss so he just kep heat-checking.
Looks like your typical Nick Young on a great shooting streak, which is pretty impressive. Now of course I'm still seeing the same Nick Young, who shoots when being double teamed and hopes that he either gets fouled or the shot goes in. Sure the favor went to Young in this game, but I highly doubt the four point plays will happen against real NBA defenders. Its still nice to see him score 60 points, but I wish he can play like that when it matters in the NBA consistently against good NBA teams.
Well if you watch the video after his hit that 3rd 4 point play the announcer clearly says 59 in the game! @3:47. Then he hit the free throw after which makes 60. Just saying
must have been boring for his teammates who just had to run up and down the court and not gettin any touches lol swaggy p still the man but damn son pass the ball every now and then
@satkutis He is not selffish , two of the better play got hurt, Gabe Prutt (Celtics) and Javale Mcgee didn't play. and you was not there to see what happen. He only had 3 points in the 1st Qt.
@satkutis It s call selfish when people like you can not do it. But when you can do it like Nick Young its call one the best, and pure shooter ever to play the game of basketball tell yo kid that.
@ko8emvp I agree, i believe he is still young enough that if he gets consistent playing time in the league and a starting position he can break out and be a 18ppg+ scorer in the league, he has the tools and the touch all he needs now is the day in and day out confidence
whats wrong with being "selfish"? if you can score (without missing too much), than ur doing good to the team. whatever works to win. of course, its bad if you keep trying to score and fail...
Brooks doesn't play just like young Kobe.. He might have the ability, but he's definately missing the mentality. That's what Kobe was always known for. Plus what is Brooks like 22? 23 next year? By then Kobe had already established himself as the best or 2nd best (possibly behind VC) shooting guard in the league.
around 1:55 when he caught his own rebound then put it back up that shit was a travel lol and only will you see nba refs call that because they are the best of the best. even in the worlds you see players get away with the shuffle .
nba players have such an atvantage over non-professionals.They do this for a living and play the best compitition everyday....nick young looking like mj lol
