Parents also usually want you to move from the house so you can make new acquaintances, and move away from your comfort zone to become a more developed and "grown" person, in a way. I can tell you this from personal experience because I moved out of my house in Mexico when I was 19, after I graduated high school and started working on my dream profession (journalism) I moved to the US and do my studies here. Not everyone has the privilege of being able to do their studies at their home country or even have a minimum wage salary job, just take third world countries as a prime example. Are people then able to live with their parents, grow as a person and develop? No. Again, I wouldn't think you'd understand given you're probably 9 years old
