They got hate starting with The Long Road, ppl were sick of How You Remind Me but SSU was kinda praised for "socially conscious" while TLR was full embrace of debauchery hedonism (true) and critics cried "misogyny" (whatever). TLR was heavy except "someday"... but then ATRR and following records it was "here's some heavy songs but heres also songs FOR THE LADIES" lol...

@@mitchrynn4912 I did, Ive listened to everything on Spotify. First 2 albums aren't heavier at all, they're just a different sound and less catchy. Burn it to the ground, gotta get me some, this means war, follow you home, next go round, midnight queen, fight for the wrong reasons, follow you home, side of a bullet etc. These are all heavier than first 2 albums and even have solos
I saw a lot of shows at rock am ring - these guys are awesome. The best quality of a live session...I'm over impressed. Thank u Nickelback. U r the best!!!!
2023! I'm a big fan! Btw, if you pay attention, right after they finish playing "Because of You", Ryan complains about the rain and says he slipped and fell. It's not in camera but they told it years later on an interview. 😂 Poor man
When I hear people say that Nickelback is soft & not rock. I tell them to watch this performance. Yeah there later albums are more radio friendly & went more the alternative route. They started out there career with a post grunge sound that the world was in love with until it became a thing to hate on Nickelback. I mean these guys had freakin Rock am Ring crowd in the palm of there hands that night.
This is one of my favorite old Nickelback performances! I know they have this their live performance on DVD but I can't believe they only have it in Germany and I wish they could have it here in the US so I can buy or order one online! or maybe what I was just thinking is that maybe if it's possible if someone from Germany to make a copy out of this Nickelback live Concert film and put it on a DVD disc and send it to me! :) I'm not really sure if that's possible but I wish it can be! I'm also wondering what it's like in backstage at Rock Am Ring? i like Chad's Guitars! :) and i like Ryan's Gibson Explorer he used for some of the songs in this live performance including his Les Paul with Nickelback! I play Guitar btw and I sing too!
