It's always incels. For real. Nickelback concert has a high number of insanely good looking females at their shows, probably top 3. Pisses off little incels that never get a sniff at a hot chick. TRUTH. Plus, there's that childish middle school beef with Corey Taylor and Slipknot.

This song represents life in a unique way. It's saying that no one truly knows how much time we have left on this earth and that knowing is worse, especially when you are powerless to do anything or the feeling of not being powerless and not able to help

I'll never understand the hate for this band. Nickelback has actually been one of my favorite rock bands since I was 10 years old. The band is super tight, Chad Kroeger has a very distinct voice (that every other post-grunge band since 2002 has tried to replicate) and even the songwriting was always pretty dark and pretty damn powerful, maybe not so much now as they've incorporated co-writers and rapper features in songs about strippers and booze, but Chad is a masterful songwriter and a killer guitar player!

I'm Canadian, I love Nickelback tbh. The early 2000s? This band was the playlist to my life, everytime I hear a Nickelback song it takes me to a happy place in my life honestly. The video is basically a curse of death. The madness doesn't go away until you literally save someone. Then the person who you saved? Takes on your burden.

Death Note startred in 2003, ending mid 2006, this song came out early 2006. Don’t know about the video and how long they worked on it, but Imma say Death Note did it first, but still love how the MV did it

I don't understand why people hate nickelback. I love them. Always have and always will. It's hard to think of a bad nickelback song. Silver Side Up is in my opinion one of the best albums ever. Listened to it cover to cover countless times. This song holds a special place for me. I was on the brink of suicide. I hadn't spoke to anyone about it but I played this song to my mum and she starred to cry and asked if I was OK. My mum and this song helped me through one of the darkest times of my life.

The hate and discrimination against Nickelback is bogus. As someone who has been in the music industry for all of my adult life, I make it a point to know the truth about any claims toward any artist or band because quite frankly i will not support or endorse any artist who gives a valid reason to be disliked. There are a lot of arrogant musicians in the world but not everyone deserves that title. A lot of the hate is driven by jealousy of their competitors, record labels, producers etc. It's all political BS. If a band or artist doesn't agree to the terms of a contract that is offered to them, that label or producer will spread hate as a method of retaliation. I've seen it so many times that it has become "normal" in the industry and should be expected. Nickel back is simple and has clean sound and easy to follow lyrics. For that reason others become jealous simply because they didn't think of it first. If anyone wants to question practices of musicians, how about all of the rappers and other pop stars who re-sample songs from the past, change the lyrics a little bit and call it their own? To me that should be frowned upon. Anyway to make a long story short, Nickelback from what I have researched, interviewed and enjoyed as a fan since the release of their first album back in 1996 is that they are a solid pop/rock band and in my opinion they are an awesome group. If you don't like like their sound or style, that's fine as everyone is entitled to their opinion and we all have different preferences but don't talk down to someone else just because you don't think they are worth it. We all just need to get along, stop the hatred and the BS and be happy for what we have. Stay safe and healthy!

Nicely done. What I heard a while ago is that from early on in their career, they figured out the algorithm to make chart toppers. Although a lot of their music sounds the same, they also sound the same because they sell.

Beautiful thing about music is you take it in your own way. For me. This song always rings my bell. I stumbled into alchohol really hard. Put my wife through hell with it. And I was just crying for her help and I was so afraid to lose her but I would everything to push her out. Thank God she's also and ex alcoholic and walked me through it. I got to the point I was suicidal. I was I just didn't see a way out. She took my hand and walked me out of the hell I was in.

This video would make a fantastic movie. Your life is saved and your "Life Clock" turns off as shown but then you see other's Life Clocks. Then you save someone and your Life Clock is reset and the other person now gets the Gift. Love it. Subbed. Rang the Bell and Liked well done

This song appears to be a plea for a Savior. The writer says that prison gates won't open to free him, and heaven's gate won't open to accept him. They asked this Savior to "teach me wrong from right" And a willingness to renounce their way of life to follow this Savior: "And I'll leave this life behind me" The writer also appears desparing of the world that they are captive in: "These city walls ain't got no love for me - I'm on the ledge of the eighteenth story" The writer also seems to be despairing of the internal state that this world has produced in them: "well I'm terrified of these four walls - These iron bars can't hold my soul" Heaviest reality is that the video along with the lyrics appear to communicate a desire for this Savior to intervene before the individual's time (life) expires: "Hurry, I'm fallin', I'm fallin', I'm fallin'" My question: Is the writer asking this Savior to "save me" now to perhaps prolong life, or to "save me" now in anticipation of their life expiring? One comment on the video review: I believe the woman at the end was pregnant and their was a countdown for the mother and the child.

I think this video could have been inspired by Death Note. Death note manga came out in 2004 in japan but the English adaptations came out in late 2005. And this video released in early 2005 so it'd take a month or two to produce this. Either the producers loved and read it in Japanese and wanted to make a video, or this is just pure coincidence. It's very hard to say as the timing is very close and not to mention it's literally death clocks above their head which Death Note is known for and this video clearly shows it almost 1 for 1.

I wonder if the Death Timers are a nod towards Death Note, the anime and Manga. Cuz around the time of this video dropping, the anime had an episode where you saw people’s death date the entire episode. You usually saw one here and there but this episode had it the whole 25 mins But back to the video. I think the chorus links with the man tryna show people they don’t got much longer living how they are So say it if it’s worth saving me/them

Chad Kroeger has never clarified what this song means in terms of lyrics. But the common theory is that it's about someone suffering with depression on the verge of suicide and asking for help.
